Ehh he's not right but he's not wrong. Its a very time and place debate. Like no one in a club on Saturday night is trying to hear Fight the power or Dead Prez but at the same time music is the best vehicle to speak on politics and issues. From a sales standpoint you pick a side and alienate 50% of your fan base so it's in your best interest to stay neutral. If you didn't come out the gate political then you can't just decide to become political.

I get what you're saying but respect don't keep the lights on. When Kanye said what he said about George Bush we all cheered. Kanye literally had to move out the US until it all had blown over. He lost out on tons of money, he was just talented enough to get back where he left off.
If they're your fans but racist rednecks are they already on your bus? You going to give them back their money that they gave you? You going to make them stop listening to you?
