I get what you're saying but respect don't keep the lights on. When Kanye said what he said about George Bush we all cheered. Kanye literally had to move out the US until it all had blown over. He lost out on tons of money, he was just talented enough to get back where he left off.



If they're your fans but racist rednecks are they already on your bus? You going to give them back their money that they gave you? You going to make them stop listening to you? They're racist rednecks but enjoy your music then what kind of music are you making? You would have to be making something that's relatable and enjoyable to them at some level?



Once Kanye aligned with Trump he officially lost it. He said it himself in New Day he’d let his child vote Republican so they love white people so the signs were there already.

It's clearly what he was implying, right down to using the exact same framing right wingers use when they cry about art or awards shows being political. They want to "shut their brain off" and enjoy something detached from the real world, not understanding that art is inherently political, and awards shows have always been stages for political statement. It's coward shyt from a guy who likes getting those Paramount/CBS checks and is detached from blackness.
