i refuse to conform
Do you guys even understand what flow is? How else could you possibly think that the legends from the '90s haven't improved the old school flow drastically? That's like the single most important difference between 'old school' and 'new school'. It's all about the evolution of flow. It's not so much about multi's or content, it's the flow. You can tell within three seconds of hearing a verse whether it's from the '80s or '90s. Come one man..

exactly nikkas don't know about meter double time flow tempo
melody pronouncation and enuncation syllable count and vocal inflection

Nas goes off beat at times but he can flow
G Rap is right there but he stumbled here and there before he was just as good as Ra in his peak 95-98 period
:laff: @ Pun...he had to punch in a lot of his rhymes...FOH
EM was right there technically along with Black Thought and Moe Dee but he couldn't see Ra with the flow
Ghost and Rae ain't flowers they talkers...which they mastered
Biggie was right there along with Meth but they would sacrifice lyrics for the flow unlike Ra
:russ::heh::childplease::usure: at Nature
AZ was sick with the flow...Rather Unique is a great example. But he couldn't switch up his flow like Ra could.

Besides that Nature drop, not a bad list but No they ain't seein the Inventor and Master of Flow

biggie and pun had great flows pun did'nt start doing punch ins till 99 and 2000 and g rap has better flow along with snoop along with eminem

No one improved on Ra's flow though!!

The #1 reason the level of songwriting improved in the ´90s is because people let go of the Rakim flow which is a completely unnatural form of intonation which makes it virtually impossible to put emotion in tracks the way All That I Got Is You, Dear Mama etc. did. Picture that type of emotion spit with a Rakim flow..

on top of that, nas could flow off beat and sound good. so can ghost and 96 ras kass. ra has to flow on beat. i've never heard ra effortlessly float on a beat like nas did on one plus one. thats a lot harder to than following snares.

This is the reason Y I feel U niccas who started listen to Hip Hop in the 90s don't know shyt about flow.

Ras Kass:facepalm: His flow may been at it's best in 96 but:comeon: Ras ain't even in the same league as Ra when it comes flowin.

Obviously you haven't really heard Rakim if U think he has to flow on beat. The beat follows him not the other way around.

Most of U niccas don't know flow cuzz yall started listen to Hip Hop when the BPMs were slowed down.

Let me know when Nas, Ras or any of these so called better flowers can top this. I'm done with you ignorant idiots. Step up ya listening game up. There was Hip Hop before 94!!
