MSKYO is a classic album but barely. I thought it was honestly LL's 3rd best album (after Radio and Bigger and Deffer which are sure-fire classics). It was by no means the best album of 1990, it barely cracks the top 10 that year. What happened was the hype of the song carried the album and elevated it conversely.

Edutainment was the far better album that year even if it flew under the radar. Especially with the Stokely Carmichael bits. Incredible really.
