It got unfair criticism when it 1st came out cuzz Hip Hop was on the pro black tip in 89. To be fair the song and Walking With A Panther was an Ego Trip while Hip Hop was trying to expand past just party and bullshyt. It's just that I'm That Type of Guy and Walking With A Panther were Grade A Party and Bullshyt

Chuck D and Cube all but make KRS unnecesary for me....u can't really think of aybody that has used LL's lane of for the ladies and raw raps who's built the legacy LL has or surpassed him...Fabolous better lyrically then LL but still doesn't get the respect....both these nikkas overated but listenin to KRS for me is just me listening to a poor mans Chuck D or Cube,the knockoff version...and before u say "bu bu but KRS wuz first"....USPA is still the knockoff version of Polo.

Fab had a more standard advanced rhyme scheme that he stuck with and which was started by Kane but he was not seein LL lyrically...plus he has very few raw Hip Hop songs like L.
