40k a month for life or for anything longer than a year is best choice, but it's not then 750k would be the next best option. You don't know what you're getting with that land option and you have to figure out what do with it, which could cost money.

40k a month for life is dope and don't have to worry about what to do to to monetize 500 acres let alone possible maintenance. However 500 acres would allow you to pass it down from generation to generation. I don't think it's as easy of a question that some of you folks think. The 40k could be considered selfish but 500 acres gives your kids and beyond opportunities to do somthing great with it and keep the wealth within family.
