I don't understand why every Banks thread turns into bytching about lack of promo from him. If he's content, why the fukk aren't we? He makes music for his core fans every time out. Who else can say that?

Because a lot of rap fans have little interest in art, and are concerned only with the business side of the game

Main gripe with Banks are so many of his songs sound too similar to eachother. Mainly the way he structures his tracks. Also think his delivery and tone can get redundant but lyrically he fire.

It’s not necessarily bytching, it’s wishful thinking that the good music doesn’t get overlooked

Yes, Banks is content with the output he does.. but he’s also the same one who’ll retweet and blame politics months down the line about not being on an album of the year or top rappers of the year list

Banks ain’t no Beyonce or Jay Z level where he can just drop an album in April with no vids, interviews, etc then get praised by the media for his contribution to hip hop come December. It’ll be forgotten about and not mentioned

I get what you sayin but in the context of Banks… to be interested in a Banks project means you HAVE to have interest in the art

The business side that ppl mention is just fans wanting the projects to get their proper recognition. I’d love to see Banks make a B Dot list or some shyt
