Banks is 100% talking about 50 lol

Why? Well obviously he mentions being head of the clique
Then goes on to say he's disappointed , responds to the lazy stuff etc.

He didn't say fukk 50, he did the same thing 50 did: show he's disappointed

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Stranger Things is such a classic Banks track. Bars, tight flow, introspective and a classic Banks hook. Beautiful track.

I just HATE how this album is mixed and I know it's been said but why couldn't Banks pay for better engineering on this? The album would bang so much harder if it was mixed more cleanly. It sounds very rough, practically the way the vocals are laid. Sound like they sitting on the track and not MIXED in. Same with the instruments. It's like the levels are fukked up on the volume of certain sounds. Just sounds off. Other than that, Banks put together a very nice project. Gonna have this one in rotation
Funny part is I know where Banks lives. And I know a dope ass engineer that operates close as fukk to where he reside at. Lol. He could’ve def used him.

Naw.. I know a guy who engineers out his basement with just a PC and a decent mic who went to school for that mixing shyt and his mixes are cleaner than whatever Bombaye is doing for Banks…. Hell, it’s cats on this forum that rap who’s stuff is mixed better.

I think the last Banks project that was properly mixed was CC2

Just because you record at home doesn’t mean you can’t have better quality… no excuse, but at the end of the day it must be a helluva album if all we can nitpick about is the quality lol

I’ve gotten used to it by now but if you listen to CC2 and everything after excluding the G-Unit reunion stuff then you can tell the difference

I went to Bombaye’s page and it’s a bunch of ppl praising his mixing so I guess some ppl have high praise
Cold Corner 2 is so fukkin fire, a classic. Ice Box Pt 2 is one of my favorite Banks songs.

I really appreciate this album. Doesn’t sound like this new shyt, but it still sounds good. He picked really good beats as well. I didn’t really notice the mixing issue until I heard Roc Marci on Early Exit. I was like is this dude recording from a computer or phone? The album is too fire though. One of Banks’ best.

I wonder if he can re-release it with better mixing.

This banks best mixtape... CC2 and COLI tied for second

Eh idk.... I remember bumpin CC2 a lot more than FNO, but I’ll listen to it again to see how I feel.

I think COTI is an album though.

Imma listen to FNO again.

You happen to know what happened to Banks’ voice? He sounded very different when he first came out, his voice was a lot deeper, did something happen or was he just changing his voice in the beginning?

he has the same speaking voice from 02 he just changes his voice to make it more high pitched when he raps.. he started doing that in like 07-08

He was changing his voice early on to slightly exaggerate how deep it was. Evidence did the same thing.

They both rap closer closer to their natural voices now.

I think it’s interesting that Banks shifted to a more natural pitch around the same time he stopped focusing on punchlines.
