Never doubted he was talented,but never thought he had star power either.....Couldve been a few different things,timing of course is one....Also dont think he made rnb that was relateable to nikkas,which the most succesful rnb dudes of this past era have done that...Trey was definitley more relateable in his early career,and Chris got there at his peak.....also i dont think he was desirable to older or younger women,and thats kindve what his lane turned into during his era...its the "we fukking or not" era of rnb if women aint tryna fukk you wasnt finding success in his lane....he probaly shouldve been in a adult contemporary,alternative type of lane to begin with....marketing him towards young girls who was looking for sex symbols/singers probaly was a bad move....i always kindve fukked with Lloyd here and there though.
