Really? How long have ya'll been Nas fans? I don't particularly like the beat by itself. If this was on an instrumental CD, it would be an instant skip. As a song though, it's dope. Quite an underrated song. The flow and the lyrics were on point on this. "The Cross" is a song that has me like when people say he was scared to get on a song with Eminem. Nah, this was clearly the type of song where Nas proved he could've gone bar for bar with him. That said, people always skip over the fact that Eminem has ducked Nas on collaborations most notably "Daughters". Nas probably offered him a spot on "The Cross".

Nas spit his ass off on this song, that’s undeniable, I can see why people wouldn’t fukk with the beat like that tho...very elementary beat, super simple and not in one of those good ways either
