MLK Jr. was Left, Malcolm X was Left, Harry Haywood was a goddamn Communist, the Black Panthers were Maoist, the DSA has advocated for literally every pro-Black policy since its inception, and before that the ISO did.
From prison reform and abolition, to the removal of the criminalization of drugs, to urban policy forcing mixed-income neighborhoods, to reparations, to union-backing, to the removal of financial barriers for college, etc.

Nah. There are plenty of Black leadership conferences going on, Black political organizations trying to give more strength to the Black Voice, and Black companies trying to expand, all that need more support.

Outside of a slight opposition to LGBT rights (which is characterised more by the older generation to the younger generation), and a bit of prudishness when it comes to sex, Black men and women realise that access to women's healthcare is pretty important, government subsidized healthcare is pretty important, public schools are pretty important, local and state regulations on things like housing and environment (when it affects them) are pretty important, affirmative action and voting rights are to be protected, etc.
