Don't vote and you have no power and never will, sometimes you have to vote for the lesser of two evils. Being complacent is worse then any corrupt politician

There is a recent anecdote I like to share.

I was recently in a very wealthy part of another city, especially compared to where I currently live. It was probably 95% white and I swear every corner and almost every house had campaign signage on it from US senate and congressmen to the local garbage man. This is the area of the city that usually dictates easily what is going to go happen, especially in its own area of town.

Its kind of mind-boggling to me that the people who have political clout are not "lmao voting is so stupid" while those who don't have political clout rarely participate in the political process. The people who have money and clout are making sure EVERYONE VOTES in THEIR INTEREST. Also that they stack all areas of government with their individuals on a local level especially.

You'll notice these "voting is so stupid" threads only pop up every four years and not ever two which only highlights the lack of local election participation by the average person in our community.
