I thought they were white kids.

I wouldn't put anything past the Penn St. folk on the jury.
"I think if you didn't know Jerry, you might think, 'Wow, there's eight of them,' " Porter said of the accusers. "If you know Jerry, there's no way. There are thousands of kids [he's helped through the Second Mile charity]. And he affects people. He's just wonderful with kids."
Some of that is undeniable. The Second Mile did great work for many. But how does anyone reconcile showering alone with children?
"Do you do sports?" Porter argued. "Guys always go in the shower."
Not with little boys.
"You ever go to the YMCA to go swimming?," she said. "The locker rooms are filled with all ages. Men and women, all walking around naked. It's no different."
No different than showering alone in an empty locker room late at night, playing "soap battles"?
"However long as the YMCA swimming pool is open there are all aged nude people in the locker room," she said. "And I think when you are a mother you realize boys are nudists. And I think football coaches, they're always hanging out."
Yeah...looks that way. And while they're all in the wrong, I don't think anyone outside of Paterno - including McQueary, Spanier, whoever - could have made it stop.I dont mean to be mean, but Joe Paterno better be glad he's dead.
His legacy and memory is gonna take a real beating before this whole trial is over with. Especially since he knew SOMETHING.

You had an actual victim and his mother go to police, but nothing came of it because nobody wanted to be That One that disrupted the PSU bubble/cult. If McQueary, Spanier or anyone not named Joe Paterno went to the police, I'd bet the results would've been the same.
But if Paterno's the one reporting this, maybe suddenly that makes it okay to investigate...and maybe people who brushed it off for political reasons or w/e accelerate the process for the same reason(s). Guess we'll never know.![]()
This shyt is so much deeper and I feel like no one is going the extra mile...there is something going on a Penn State bro and it's on some secret society shyt
I'm no Joe Pa fan but I think dudes threatened him (and thus his family) and told him to keep his mouth shut and that's why he never came forward like that through the years.
This does'nt absolve him but I can't see how something like this was going on for decades and nothing came of it until now

It doesn't absolve JoePa but I definitely think this was a lot bigger than JoePa and as much pull as he had at Penn State it involved people with even more pull than he had (politicians & big money donors). It seems like everyone knew what was going and was long rumored to be the reason he never got any job offers even though he was considered a genius on the defensive side of the ball. If everyone at Penn knew and it was known across College Football what he was doing and nothing was done, it makes me think this was a lot bigger than JoePa and ran a lot deeper.
