It doesn't absolve JoePa but I definitely think this was a lot bigger than JoePa and as much pull as he had at Penn State it involved people with even more pull than he had (politicians & big money donors). It seems like everyone knew what was going and was long rumored to be the reason he never got any job offers even though he was considered a genius on the defensive side of the ball. If everyone at Penn knew and it was known across College Football what he was doing and nothing was done, it makes me think this was a lot bigger than JoePa and ran a lot deeper.
Still no excuse for JoPa to make no effort to get something done..Bottom line is JoePa was more worried about protecting the Penn State brand he built then little kids a$$holes..
Not of it surprises me though the whole worshiping teenagers playing football in these small towns seems a little pedoish to me from the start..
