We are heading the same direction as these european countries like Greece. Kats gonna be going to college to get high paying jobs. Taking out loans cause college costs are out of control. Only to graduate and there are no jobs so they live at home and work at starbucks with 2 and 3 degrees.

See the thing is homie folks don't want to call college what it really is. College for profit.....all schools are in on it and the goal is to string out school long enough to get as much out of you as they can.

Now don't get me wrong I got a BS and MS and working on another MS.

But this shyt a business plan and simple and the government doesn't want to hold these schools in check. Same way these schools take money from credit card companies and allow them to have they monkey asses on college campuses to target sudents.

My dad got a BS and a MS in the 70s. He got all loans and grants. Back them most of school was free and the state paid for it. At the most a student may come out owing 1k for 4 years of school.

Also you could complete school in 4 years without going to summer school or taking 21 hours because the hours requirement was much lower.

My mentor is a professor at LSU (he use to teach at my undergrad university) and he has been talking about this for years how college is a big business and how students getting they pockets drained and forced to stay in school longer and take out loans.

No doubt. Kids paying 10s of thousands of dollars for BS degrees that will not land them a job to pay off the retarded student loan. Not to mention, 4 years for some of these degrees is a joke and a half.

took a loan my first year and all it covered was my tuition not books or living expenses, I had to travel to campus and work far away. After that year I paid out of pocket just didn't make sense for me to buy into that lifestyle as someone who comes from the bottom with no money debt wasn't appealing. In the end I only borrowed 7k and I'm glad for it. I know nikkaz that had to pay off 40k coming from the same place i'm from and they got better jobs but still hurting.

True brotha. My dad said he needed like 105 hours to graduate with his BS in the 70s.

That same degree requires on avg like 125 to 130 hours now with fluff BS classes that were never there 30 or 40 years ago.

This shyt is modern day slavery. I don't know how anyone can think otherwise. They put all these systems and rules in place so that kids can't flourish. When they become young adults, they force them into environments of which they can't compete. They can't do anything legally about it and they are bound to this anchor of debt which means life or death to a young person coming up from 18-28...Of which after that, you are fukked for life, running on a treadmill to nowhere until the day that you decide to say fukk it and kill yourself.

Scotland has free University and free daycare. Their paychecks are taxed more than ours, but at least their youth isn't plagued with $200,000 debt

Breh in freshman year they had us take a art class. All the professor did was talk about sports and his time in france.

Then we had to buy the book and buy the latest edition which was like edition 9 or 10. Book was 200 bucks. Come to find out the professor was the author of the book.

Then after the semester which was spring semester I could only get 25 bucks for that worthless book cause in the fall the professor had a new edition coming out....

My boy in the class was like damn they running game like a referee at this university........
