When you paying for college out of pocket with money you worked and earned :blessed:

Only going to make me work harder in school, and I won't have to worry about loans with ridiculous interest rates that you'll never be able to pay off
:mjlol:

At least not within the next 2-5 years of graduating

Do you guys not understand how much of a scam elective courses are? This alone should is one of the most embarrassing, wasteful, and absurd parts of college. Degrees with 42 credits for the major but have the other 78 credits left for electives courses that do not pertain to the major. Why are Physics majors required to take Art History electives? Why are Architecture majors required to take Modern Interpretative Dance? Why are Criminal Justice majors required to take Shakespearean Composition?

Where will the line be drawn? Many of these students wouldn't even be in debt if they were allowed to earn the credits that are actually relevant to their major and then graduate. But instead, degrees that would normally take a year and a half to complete are ballooned with silly electives such as Mideval Gothic Stone Carving and end up pushing these students back four years. And in that span of four years, they're borrowing excessive amounts of money from corporate entities that will charge them 7.5% interest and quadruple their payments in comparison to what they originally took out, just to pay for these insignificant courses that don't teach any life skills or require any brain power to even pass.

This whole thing needs to be demolished and re-structured. Lower the credit hours, get rid of all of these elective courses that are bloating our degree plans, and stop charging me extra fees so that I can pay for one of these Japanese Garden Growth elective professor's vacation to Maui. We are human beings, not coins to fill your corporate piggy bank.

I know I've ranted, but it's disgraceful the length of time these non-medical, non-law etc. degrees take to receive because of how many nonsensical elective courses are required. I'm only taking 72 credits towards my Major - the other 48 were electives irrelevant to my major that took almost three years to complete. Fortunately I'm financially literate and have managed to avoid debt like the plague, but I'm still upset that my time is being wasted on classes that I don't actually need to take.

This shyt is modern day slavery. I don't know how anyone can think otherwise. They put all these systems and rules in place so that kids can't flourish. When they become young adults, they force them into environments of which they can't compete. They can't do anything legally about it and they are bound to this anchor of debt which means life or debt to a young person coming up from 18-28...Of which after that, you are fukked for life, running on a treadmill to nowhere until the day that you decide to say fukk it and kill yourself.

Exactly. i find it disgusting how people who just so happened to come out more fortunate than others can stand there and judge those who can't keep up with these criminal-ass loans, as if that says something about your character.

The fukk are you supposed to do, starve and not live just because these scumbag schools/corporations want to make their pockets fatter at everyone's lives expense?

Ain't nobody financially responsible at 18....ain't nobody thinking they ain't gonna be able to pay this shyt back, since supposedly you'll get a good job....plus the pressure society/parents puts on them......

It's fukking criminal this kind of shyt is even allowed to go on. For profit schools? Predatory lending? Mufukkaz should be locked up, from the government down....but of course nikkaz are gonna blame"irresponsible people for being stupid and taking out loans they can't pay back."

Other countries have damn near free, low cost college, help with employment, etc. America is supposedly the wealthiest country in the world, yet none of their money is ever well spent (well as far as the average person goes)....

See, that's one of the main things wrong with people put here. They have that "good for me, fukk YOU: attitude." Not saying everyone has to save everybody, but jesus christ....I can't see how so many people can walk around with their heads up their asses, but then again this is indeed 'Murica.

fukk that.....way I see it, they'll get they money IF/WHEN THEY get it....

You know them? People look at you differently if you're a graduate from a top university.

I know MD's of successful companies on the stock market with degrees in literally 'The Arts' from the bst universities in the world.

If you a Harvard and Cornell graduate - plenty of people will line up to pay you $60k minimum.

Yo, I remember back when I was in undergrad, and I was schooling my older sibling on how messed up schools are in the black neighborhoods. She was calling me a c00n for wanting my kid to go to a school in a predominantly affluent white neighborhood. Yeah, the education they receive isn't necessarily the beacon of excellence and righteousness at their institution; however, thats what he has home for. His educational institution is nothing further than a place to use for networking in the future post High School and Undergrad.

Like real talk, Debt is the WORST thing to fear in America. You will be living in jail and not even know it. And I don't care what anyone says on here, living in the hood, is 10 times as worst as prison.

Believe you me, its the only debt you cannot rid through bankruptcy for a reason. They want to make sure that after you die, your children will assume responsibility for that debt as well. College wont even be a damn option for em, they will be stuck in low wage slavery forever. Generations after them will have to scratch and claw their way out.

So many people I talk to think its a black/white thing. Nah, just because the folks who make the rules are white :skip:doesn't necessarily mean that they aren't out for blood on their own peoples heads too:demonic:. No other country in the world imprisons its own population like they do here. Whether through brainwashing:mjpls:, debt :dame:or straight up physical imprisonment:dead:. If you have made it to 30 years old and are woke:leon:, debt free :banderas:and without a record:heh:...My DUDE, you are WINNNNNING:win: (NOHIV)

White people have more wealth in the family. They need to use student loans much less while black people need it way more. So then the wealth gap continues. So you do earn the same wage as your white colllege counterpart, you're paying twice the amount in repayments - while they're saving up for a deposit on some land.

Building wealth is super difficult. Especially by yourself. When you have family and a partner that can help it you can build it so much faster and rid debt so much faster.
