I went to LA 15 years ago, not too long before Training Day was released and been to that Crenshaw mall like five times. I didn't know it was so close to The Jungles.

I know the city has obviously changed from when I was there, but it's true what they say about it being a deceptive looking place that can give you a false sense of security. Where I live all the way here looks like a total shythole in comparison to Baldwin Hills but isn't nearly as dangerous as it is/was.
