North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Lavar wanting his son to go to the Lakers shows how short sighted his is.

Lonzo would have to guard the following players in their PRIME.

Harden
Lilliard
Curry
Westbrook
Paul

Then you have the Spurs. and other young teams like the Pelicans who have a lot of future potential.

WHy would you want to go to a conference and play for a team in utter disarray :mindblown:?

Buss hiring Magic was a act of desperation. From a basketball ops stand point Magic Johnson hasn't shown anything that would lead me to believe he can build a consistent winner.

Boston on the other hand plays in a weaker conference and would basically be guaranteed a top tier playoff seed. And they have more flexibility to bring in talent. They're the better run organization.

Isaiah Thomas is almost 30. You can't build around a 30 year old 5'7 PG that shoots more than anyone else on the team.

With all that being said. As a Knicks fan... I hope he goes to the Lakers :troll:

Who cares if he averages 20ppg.

Lonzo is one of those players who impacts the game beyond the stat sheet. He's franchise changing talent. Nobody else in this class will have as much impact in the NBA.
I didn't see any of that game changing talent against Kansas. He looked like he was just going thru the motions

Sounds like that Lebron logic

Go some where where things will be easier...

Lavar AND Lonzo has said this many times... "They want to play against THE BEST. Its the only way he gets better, its the only way he proves he's one of the greats."

Despite Lonzo being a Lebron fan, he has a Kobe mentality. He has a MJ mentality.. He's even said he's chasing MJ's legacy. He doesn't give a fukk about playing in the West, Lonzo wants to be a Laker, not his father. Lavar just helped Lonzo get what and where he wanted.

This was expected so it's not really big news though he should work out for every team in the top 5.

That's the thing y'all don't get. Eric Gordon was destined to become injury prone. Same thing is happening to Anthony Davis. Guys that don't have look of a superstar have shyt like injuries and being on bad teams stunt them for their entire careers.

Just look at TMac. He was naturally more talented than Kobe but he lacked the look of a superstar because of that lazy eye and we all saw how injuries and bad luck ruined his career.

Markelle Fultz looks like Eric Gordon. Thus he's destined for failure.

That is fine. Danny will get the word out Boston plans to take Lonzo anyway. Forcing Magic to send us the second pick and a player in return. Celtics take Fultz and get another young player as well.

Trader Danny wins again. :stylin:
:ohhh:

That would be brilliantly evil

When you make it to the NBA, you play against the best every night.

Take away the logo and the Lakers might as well be the Orlando Magic.

Lavar only cares about the market and the location. Nothing more, nothing less.

Lavar openly admitted, his son isn't versatile (by saying he can't play the 2 position) so it's going to be an uphill battle no matter what.

If I'm a draft prospect, I would at least want to go to a team with a good operations management team. The lakers don't have it. And Lavar is pegging his son as a savior to the Lakers franchise with is a bigger joke.

Overall, this is probably the biggest manufactured hype for a player in NBA history. Sadly he was going to be a top 3 pick regardless. All of the hype and press tours are totally unnecessary.
