LOL y'all burying him because he's not starting week 1. He's going to get a grasp of the offense and settle into his role. Hoyer actually played very well last year so it's not even that surprising

If I'm a Browns fan I'm nervous as fukk. Everybody is running around shytting on Johnny Football as if Brian Hoyer is going to save you all. Josh Gordon has been covering up for this severely deficient offense and what makes is worse is that Cleveland could have added some playmakers this offseason as opposed to Miles Austin, who while he's a solid 3rd receiver is no playmaker. The gap between Johnny Football and Hoyer isnt that wide. I actually think Manziel has talent, but he needs to stop partying and doing lines, and get into the fukking playbook, hit the weightroom and work with Norv Turner, who is good at developing QBs.

Edit: I forgot they got Kyle Shanahan :snoop:

Matt Cassel and Chad Henne are BOTH better than Brian "I couldnt even beat out John Skelton in Arizona...luckily I had Norv Turner and Josh Gordon to make me look decent in 2 games last year" Hoyer.

Didnt Chad Henne BEAT the Browns last year:mjpls:

Bridgewater is much better than Johnny Manziel and so is Blake Bortles. Neither of them would be in a "QB competition" with Brian Hoyer:snoop:

@Eye Cue 182 is right again, face it:manny:

I'm glad you think so highly of Matt fukkin Cassel and Chad Henne :mjlol:

And :heh: eye cue is right how exactly? :what:

How is Manziel a wasted draft pick though? If they groom him properly,he might come out ok. It's not like the Browns are gonna make a run even if they have a good QB this year. That team is still rebuilding. They should sit him for a year or two and see what he got

I dont think so highly of Matt Cassel and Chad Henne, it's just that it's obvious to anyone who watches football that they are BOTH better than Brian Hoyer. Again, this is the SAME Brian Hoyer who couldnt beat out John Skelton's bum ass in Arizona.

He got lucky and played with Norv Turner's offense with Josh Gordon, which made him look better than he really is, but he STILL only managed to produce only 1 good game/1 bad game/and he got hurt early in the 3rd game. He hasnt shown anything, but that he can get the ball to a motivated Josh Gordon with Norv Turner running the offense.

He gets destroyed week 1 by the Steelers easily.

:pacspit: at the amount of hate Hoyer the Destroyer is receiving in here. This isn't a tale of how bad Johnny is, yet. Johnny went from a system with no playbook to one of the most complex verbal systems in the league. 15-20 words per play. Then you take into account having to learn protections, etc. Unlike some of these quarterbacks, they've ran pro systems. Any person with a clear brain or didn't fall for the media trap knew Brian would start because he had the verbiage down & could go in his progressions without hesitation. Lack of maturity played a role, schedule played a role, etc. I'm not a Johnny fan but there's no way you can call dude a failure because he didn't win the job off-the-bat when he would've needed a miracle to get it in the first place.

At the end of the day, I'm happy for my QuarterGawd & I'm about to keep tabs on all of you pissing on the greatness that is Brian Hoyer.

Why didn't Brian beat out Brandon Weeden last year? You know why? Because the QB is set in stone most of the time. When a QB gets an opportunity, they have to prove themself. Did Brian not do that last year? Norv put your QB in hell because you don't run the ball more than ten times a game? That's who you're praising? If anything, as many times we threw the ball last year would put the QB under even more fire. Why didn't that happen with Brian? Only the quickest release in the league last year. "I'm going to defer from using my best target to throw to other players so I can prove my worth."

He'll get destroyed week 1 with a better running game that we actually use & his favorite target still on the field. Same way he got destroyed last year against the Bengals. Got it

So it's Hoyer's fault he had one of the best WR's in the game to throw to? :heh: Hoyer threw 5 touchdowns in two games, only 1 to Gordon though...so you can kill that "Gordon made him" bullshyt.

Josh Gordon wont be playing in Week 1. Too much Cleveland faith, I'll be right there in the season thread to say "I told you say" as the Steelers are destroying the Browns anemic offense (besides Ben Tate who will be a 1000 yard back this season). The QBs cant throw to guarded WRs....the Browns do NOT have a #1 WR readily available to them the 1st half of this season, and will most likely start the season 0-3:manny:
