It is absolutely not. Amazon Prime is something else entirely really so let's not compare that but GCU is a $30 fee for 2 years membership. Then you get 20% off every new game. This a $10 charge that nets you $10 off a selection if like 5 games and only last for a few months. You have to buy the games in a very limited timeframe too

CEOs will CEO......At all of these companies the executives are looking for a way to enter retirement early...

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Less competition is a bad thing. It will give Amazon and Best Buy a reason to stop giving 20% off new games.

Imagine if Comcast bought all their competition and we were stuck with their shytty practices...not a good thing.

If Microsoft leaves the gaming business Sony will start acting up. They are already coasting with the PS plus giving us shytty games while MS is stepping up. It's all cause of competition.
gamestop ain't keeping nobody in line :mjlol:

when they die off, amazon and best buy will still need to compete with walmart, target, fukk... i even see used games at 7-11 now, plus the manufacturers, all the other online selling companies, ebay, and a million other places

gamestop should have been the place to go to for hard to find shyt... and maybe a few tvs so you can try before you buy... and of course LOW PRICE used games

they did this to themselves... you can literally buy a game for 60, open it in the store in front of them, sell it to them, they'll buy it for 30, then put it on the shelf for 55

There is no need for me to interact with Gamestop unless for some reason they are offering some sort of pre-order swag that I really want which is unlikely.

Amazon Prime is the way for all things.

Also with my Amazon CC I'm getting 5% back on all the shyt I order from there.

I will literally be able to buy the Scorpio just using my reward points.

I don't want GameStop to go out of business TBH, but they refuse to find a niche.

They are one of the few companies that has the infrastructure to be a gaming hardware retailer, but they still feel like their money is in software which is foolish.

:laff:What a piss poor attempt at a half measure to compete with Best Buy GCU and Amazon prime. They know they're screwed. The water is rising around them and buying games for $10 and reselling them for $50 isn't as ludcrative as it once was especially when with GCU 90% of the time I can get a brand new game cheaper than what Gamestop is selling it for used.

What's GCU?

They're sending out emails for a Summer Gaming Pass. For $99 between June and August, you can rent any one pre-owned game at a time. At the end of the service, you can keep the last game you rented. This is way more expensive than Gamefly. :smhkobe:
