Probably the worst attitude you can have. If you started today, you could have close to that in 10 years by investing $600 a month at 12%. It'd be easy, in fact.

:dahell:
What if I don't have $600 to store away because I need that to pay bills?

So you made a 780% return in a single year. Your P&Ls are godly.

Why don't you work for UBS or Citigroup?

Cause it's obvious you're one of the top traders the financial markets has ever seen.

I don't see why you're skeptical. It's totally possible.

Yea you'd need a broker. Scottrade or eTrade or one of those. I think one of them has like 50 trades free or something.

Edit: Actually, first things first, though. Sign up for your 401k at work and / or open a Roth IRA.

I'm on Ameritrade. I'll look into the Roth IRA, but i might leave my govt job down the line so no dealing with them on that level. I hate dealing with stock brokers. Good looking out though. Trying to stack this paper for the future.

:rudy:

If that is the least bit true id call him ****ing stupid.

Cause having proof of those P/Ls he would land a top position at a major bank. Have them let him manage a few million and he would take home 100MM+ annually even with a shytty split.

Stop it:sitdown:

 I was kidding. That pic is from a movie called Limitless, where dude gets his hand on a pill that makes him a super genius. He then starts investing, turning 20k into 1.2 million in a week. I was making fun of OP too.

Pretty good movie.

I mean working 9-5 what else do you suggest that affords live practice?

Futures?:scusthov:
While that may not be an optimal situation for you, passively trading equities is, in my opinion, much better than getting involved in the forex market. Its a zero-sum game and the informational requirement to have an advantage over expert traders is enormous. You're more likely to get wiped out by the time you even know what you are doing. Theres a limit to how much you can learn using a demo account anyway, as people behave differently and take different risks when money is on the table. Buying and holding stocks is the best choice for someone like yourself. Goodluck either way though breh:salute:
