Filmography matters and being in bad movies speaks poorly to your artistic judgement. Bad movies reflect badly on all involved, especially the actors. What do their bad movies have to do with my point of Leo not being able to duplicate their great performances? I literally already addressed the point of Leo being in great movies versus him having great performances. As far as knowing his lane: he's an actor, he's not supposed to have a lane. That's the whole point of acting, if you're doing it at a high level.
You stated Brad Pitt could duplicate Leo's performances. I definitely don't agree. But it is useless going back and forth on that point. No one is going to change their mind.
And again we also disagree about actors having lanes, no one can play anyone. A white version of Stringer Bell my G?! Is there such a thing?
I don't think so. Can a white guy play Nelson Mandela to?!
Would you like to see Lupita and Fassbender switch roles in 12 Years A Slave?
What about Marion Cotilliard as Bane and Tom Hardy as Talia?
There are limits and knowing yours as an actor definitely helps you put your best foot forward.

When I said great actors shouldn't have lanes, we both know I wasnt talking about biopics, gender, or race(though all of those categories have been stretched by actors before). That said, you realize a white version of Stringer Bell could easily just be a role in the Sopranos or any of the multitudes of white crime syndicates, right? The dude trying to straddle the line between the streets while going legit. Again, I've made the distinction between filmography and performance. I never discounted one or the other.

nikka gets every role i would want for myself if i was an Actor.
