How is Anderson paak on this? He's a considered a rapper? And ain't lil dikky a parody rapper...that's disrespectful to the culture to have someone whose basically weird al yankovich taking a slot on the cover. But yea, those the only two i know/listen to. I think the only rappers born after 1989 that I listen to are joey badass and YG

Hmm...a few random thoughts:

-why can't y'all accept that some of the complaints about these (and other new dudes) are simply because they're wack, not because people are stuck in some "back in my day" "everyone needs to rap like 1994" matrix.

-y'all wanna throw out :flabbynsick: smilies for not knowing these dudes or keeping up with new acts, but there comes a point when rap completely full of nonsense stops being appealing as you're no longer at that point in life. Dudes 37 years old relating to music about shooting up the place and spending a whole day nodding on lean ain't staying hip, that shyt's pathetic that they haven't moved on to more productive shyt in life. Y'all turn around and call them dudes too :old: and :flabbynsick: as well...so which one is it? Be old because you ain't into the shyt or be too old to be into the shyt?

-as other dude said, you don't have time to find the 4-5 songs by said wack artists that you might actually like once you get older. I hate young thug...but I won't deny there are a couple tracks from him that do slap, but I don't have time nor the desire to spend the free time i do have to go digging thru his 50 releases to find a handful of other songs by him that I might like.

- Hip hop/rap whatever you want to call it is at a place where production has far surpassed the lyricists, most of y'all who claim these dudes are dope are just feeling the beats...hip hop should go instrumental for a bit and give rappers time to catch up.

Theodore breh and associates
Desiigner cool he got a song out now besides panda called zombie walk which is cool.

Lil yachty on the other hand on that chance the rapper song called mixtape sound like he rapping around multiple dikks in his mouth on top of abusing autotune like lil Wayne did in 2008-09 so I won't be listening to anything else he got out..

I refuse to listen to someone called lil dikky or any rapper that have lil in their name anymore post 2013 that shyt ran it's course my nikka.

i realize rap music is aimed at the youth so i aint mad that the kids having fun listening to the current iteration of hip hop/rap music...i do have a problem when fans tell me that this is "good" music...good compared to what?...definitely not good compared to what was hot from the mid 80s to 2000...this cover also shows another problem in rap and that is the focus on solo artists...back in my day:old:groups..and crews bumped as hard or harder than a solo act...now it seems like groups and females aint gettin no looks...shyt now is boring as fukk compared to my era but if the kids happy with it that is all that counts...hip hop/rap is for them...

No one in here has hated on paak tho, the most that's happened is him being dismissed by association of being on the cover by people who never heard him

I'm going to assume this stands for Young fukk nikka as this name sounds like he fits squarely in that demographic :francis:

Because those people with these types of sentiments are extremely sensitive and simply can't comprehend that. They don't realize that there were back artists in 2006 and 1996, except we just weren't bombarded with them because of social media like we are today. They don't seem to realize that 10 years ago, rap fans weren't coddling people like D4L, Shawty Lo, V.I.C., GS Boyz, Hurricane Chris, etc talking about "th th th th they young, l l l let'em cook, you j j just hatin ". We trashed them cause they sucked and that was it. I'm not sure out long the coli has been around, but I bet not a single person was trying to verbally hold D4L or GS Boyz's hands because somebody wasn't feeling them. But current rap fans wanna coddle their favorite trash artists just cause their feeling get hurt too easily :mjlol: that's 2016 for ya.

No Lucci? :camby:

Well, he sucks, but I do think he had a decent amount of buzz to be on.

Don't understand the Anderson Paak hate

I think it's pretty much a consensus that Anderson Paak is nice. I personally hated him on the Compton soundtrack cause he flat out sounded bad, but his Malibu album was a great change of pace compared to his terrible features on that soundtrack.
