Not disagreein with your overall point but they were very confident :usure:

Let's not get revisionist history here now

I swear nikkas got convenient amnesia
I don't forget shyt and I don't dabble in revisionism.

My point is, they were talking about the disharmony between Thibs and the team, Noah's lackluster play, poor team defense, minimal production from the bench, Rose's inconsistent play, roller-coaster effort etc etc before the playoffs started. Saying that they were confident; regular trash talking and that they had a great chance at beating the Cavs is only part of the story - that doesn't take away from the FACT they knew with all this shyt that was going on with the team, they were "a ticking time bomb ready to explode".

Gil,

nikkas was doing victory laps when Love's arm got ripped out and JR got suspended. Look at my god damn sig.

Miss me with the bullshyt.

They thought this was the Bulls shot at getting pass LeBron.

Kyrie was hurt
Love was out
Jr was suspended the first two games

And they wanna come in with the excuses :martin:

Not to mention their bench being better then ours was a huge talking point. And the versatility of niko:russ:

They're not excuses. They're no excuses for the way they played in that series. There was a reason why for the first time in the last half a decade that the Bulls role players were out-hustled, hell shyt that was the first time the entire Bulls team was out-hustled since Thibs tenure as coach.

My god damn mentions after Rose hit that shot.

:martin:

Now nikkas saying the Bulls gave up before the series started.

:dwillhuh:

Point to where I said or insinuated they gave up before the series started? I simply said the Bulls fans were aware of these issues coming to a head before the series started.

The ONLY person and I'm just talking about the coli. Who was down on their chances to win was @cornercommission2k12

Just because the rest of them were aware of those problems did not stop them from being confident about their chances. I'm not about to dig up quotes for you but it would be really easy if you wanna press the issue:ld:

I never said it was YOU.

We talking about Bulls fans.

And Bulls fans were licking their chops going into the series.

Again, I'm not disputing that, I was there, I was witness to all this. That still doesn't take away from the fact that they knew the deep-seated issues with this squad.

Even with their internal issues it never took away from their confidence going into the series.

They LEANED on that shyt heavy when it was all said and done tho.

That's a fact.

Why should it? Would this place be as entertaining as it is, if every fanbase WASN'T confident, despite acknowledgement of their team's flaws? Why do you think I'm insinuating that they weren't confident about their chances? The whole point in them being confident is driven by hope that they win - the same for 99% of posters on this board. I'm explaining to you that they had been talking about the issues with this team for a while now [years], and were completely conscious of the fact that some shyt like this could potentially happen.

Breh, I'm not saying it didn't. I'm telling you that they were AWARE of what could potentially happen. This was the first time in three postseasons where Rose was physically fit - even despite his inconsistent play - they now had their franchise player back. Why wouldn't they be confident about their chances, simply for that fact? What I'm telling you is, what eventuated (reasons above), they spoke on this well before the series.started - they didn't disassociate themselves from the true makeup of this team. They were completely aware of it. That's not saying at all that they didn't believe they could and should beat this Cavs team who were without their third best player and a hobbled Kyrie.

What is it that you think I'm trying to say here?

What does confidence heading into the series have to do with the facts about why the Bulls lost?

Someone asked why the Bulls lost, I objectively provided answers :francis:

If you go back a page and look at my original post in this thread it was regarding the Bulls fans confidence.

Thats it.

I'm not going to sit here and let that slide like my mentions weren't a Weeknd CD first week when they thought the Cavs were done.
