Irv said in an interview that Nas ultimately didn't want that amount of exposure. He said that his plan was to make Nas a bigger star and Nas shied away from that

no one gave a flying fukk when nas was on murder inc, he was behind ashanti and cadillac tah on the roster

He didn't want to look like he did in the You owe me video. It's already proven that he sells less and loses fans when he tries that shyt. Dude is not good at writing or flowing over club bangers or shyt that a broader audience can vibe too. Gotti could never make nas a bigger star, just a bigger "sell out".

Nas was never going to join the Inc. He did it to get under Jay's skin cause Irv and Jay were close personal friends. Jay and Irv actually fell out over this. In return, Irv was looking for someone to defend the Inc. against Shady/Aftermath coming onslaught.

I'm glad that fell thru. A NAS album on murder inc during that time frame would have made nastradamus look like a classic in comparison. Imagine, every song would be featuring some wack ass Ashanti or ja-rule sung hook :scusthov:
