He never had "it" as a solo artist, largely because he sounded too similar to TI, who was on fire. That and he was completely overshadowed by Jeezy in the group.

Stay Fresh was dope but with TI already having "Let's Get Away," it only made him seem even more like a clone. Especially since Let's Get Away was pushed as a single at the exact same time and it blew all the way up.

He wasn't wack, just was in the shadow of Jeezy & TI and could never seperate himself. Him dissing Jeezy for abandoning BNTH events after the first week of release was valid but made him look like a crybaby, especially since Jody was supposed to be the focus & star of the group. Jeezy always stood out. Nobody even listened to "Dem Boyz" past Jeezy's verse, especially in the club.

Here is an example. Jeezy wearing black when the rest of the group is wearing white, making him standout the most from the jump. Nevermind he had "it."

As you see here, minus Jeezy they had nothing as a group. Jeezy didn't show up past the first week of release, has throat surgery and finessed Puff & BNDH for extra promo for him and TM101:umad:

it's funny, he reminded me of a ATL version of wayne compared to sounding like T.I.

Jody drops a project or two a year, I think he locked up right now. It's funny because this interview popped in my recommended lately

In terms of the OP, idk what happened, he was signed to shonuff/warner, but someone said his first single sounded too like t.i.'s song at the time and I think he leaked his second song with freeway. He was also dissing jeezy for a looonnngggg time and no one wants to do business with someone who is dissing someone all the time. He was a ghostwriter for diddy for a while so he can't be doing that bad.

I agree with everything in this thread aside from ppl tryna paint the picture that nobody was feelin Jody Breeze :what:

Maybe it’s cuz of where I’m from, Idk but in high school I remember a LOT of ppl preferred Jody over Jeezy.. especially the females and the dudes who liked lyrics over sound.. of course Jeezy was the most popular cuz he had Trap or Die out and eventually became more popular with TM101 but it’s the OTHER 2 members of BITH that never stood out. Everybody at least knew Jeezy and Jody’s names anc when Jeezy left, they still knew Jody and Gorilla Zoep

these 3 songs used to bang during high school

People were definitely feeling Jody Breeze when he first popped up, almost in the same way people liked Murphy Lee. He was just a young dude you felt had next after Jeezy, though I personally didn’t think he stood out that much. Jeezy and later Zoe were the clear standouts. I thought Big Gee stood out on his voice alone, but that other dude was basically a ghost. I don’t even remember what his name was.

Yeah this is a more fair depiction of Jody Breeze back then
