:wtf: at people not understanding why they'd respond to JD, and not Suge.

JD is a rapper....he dissed them so they dissed him back. You could say they were scared....and you'd probably be right....but they literally had nothing to gain from dissing Suge. Worst case scenario it escalates to violence....best case scenario they extend his 15 minutes of fame.

Fred.

death row rappers were dissing aftermath. they couldve responded to them. theres no excuse you can make for them.

and jd is not a rapper. hes a producer. either you respond in an interview like timbo did, or you diss him yourself. dont send a couple cypher rappers at a producer. thats just wick-wick-wack.

you didnt see timbaland sending ms jade at dupri(and for the record, ms jade makes better diss records than xzibit & eminem).

JD is a producer but he raps. Suge does....nothing. He's like 50 Cent if 50 Cent stopped rapping. He's basically 50 Cent now.

Death Row was dissing because Suge was dissing. Death Row vs Aftermath on some rap shyt would've been worse than JD.

The only thing I would've liked to see, was Crooked I respond to Em, Xzibit, etc, if they had dissed Suge....but I don't even think Crooked I was on the label still. Regardless, as terrible as this battle was I'd much rather hear a diss record from JD, than Topp Dogg, or Tha Realist, or whatever other clones Suge had at the time.

Exactly. Suge was blackballed out the industry, and was completely out of hip hop business and discussion, to respond to him would give him a platform to come back. There was nothing in it for Dre.

Notice I mention Dre, because it's clear Eminem (and others) wanted to mention him. Em mentioned Suge twice, on Love me (which was changed) and Toy Soldiers (which was bleeped). All of which was Dre's doing.

well what was in it for dre when he sent his "goons" at jermaine dupri?:rudy:

how was suge completely out of hip-hop? this is when death row, murder inc & rap-a-lot formed that alliance.

that toy soldiers line was puss-puss on some "oooohhh he said suge's name" type chit. what was the line in the other song?

cmon man. even snoop doggy dogg called these dudes out for being sissies.

j.d. isnt a real rapper. either let dre & j.d. go at it or let them continue dissin each other in interviews. nobody wants to hear cypher rappers dissing a guy thats in the middle of producing usher songs. whats next? are we going to have the neptunes send the clipse to do a song dissin jimmy jam & terry lewis?

crooked i, kurupt, eastwood, etc were on death row at the time.

JD is a better overall producer though. If you factor in his R&B success, I dn't think this can be argued. He wrote and produced damn near every Kriss Kross and Xscape record:krs: Dre got better gangsta shyt, but JD got that nikka overall. Dre don't even be dropping too much shyt lately anyway so fukk em

You really can't see the difference between the Suge and JD situation? One was artistic differences, the other was clearly more personal. Eminem and X aren't shooters, they are rappers, which is why they were sent at an artist (JD). There was NOTHING to gain from going at Suge, that was 5/6 old shyt. The JD shyt was fresh, and it was JD dissing Dre by saying he was a better producer, so Dre had something to prove.

The Toy Soldiers line was not puss either. :rudy: It summarised that situation perfectly, oh but I guess you dudes are too gangsta to speak the truth. The other line was in Love Me, where Em says "I'm the equivalent of what would happen if Bush rapped"....the original line was Suge, then they made him change it to Bush.

what the hell did dre prove by sending eminem & xzibit at jermaine dupri? what do they have to do with dre/jd feuding over being the best producer? did you read what you just typed? if dre had something to prove, then he shouldve made a beat.....chit, he didnt even make the beat for them to diss jd over with his lazy ass.:deadrose:

summarized the situation how?

:rudy: @ that "love me" line.
