I'm trying to go on a 5 day cruise in October. No particular destination yet. I'm going somewhere in the gulf. Never been on a cruise before so any advice is helpful on places to go or what packages I should get.

Make sure when you book the cruise to book the excursions before you get on the boat the reason is because they will be sold out when everyone is on board.
get the drink pass it makes sense to order it when you buy your ticket. you don't want to order a bunch of drinks and then look at the bill when it's time to debark.
have some cash on hand to tip the guy/crew that cleans your room. you can tip them through the system but they appreciate it when you hand it to them.
the wifi on the boat is horrible but the cellular plans are pretty bad for cruises too. i don't know how to fix that but turn your phone on airplane mode.

They’re not the best lol. I’m ok with them for the most part though. I didn’t love my Royal Carribean experience myself but it was ok.

Depends on your age… carnival is more mid 20s to late 20 age group
Stay away from a nikka with a whistle and holding 2 bottles of liquor…if you give him eye contact he will force you to take double shots from each bottle

The drinks on RC were A-1. We were drinking so much with one cat that he was just giving us free shots lol. He was well paid from us though
