Breh, you need to get some suits. Black children should be able to see well dressed black men walking these streets.

To answer your question @Neuromancer I used to go to Burlington. They have suits for some good deals.
Yeah I recall them having them. I bulked up in recent years and my back is wider so I gotta start getting a few new ones. Gonna have to find a tailor too.

What are the best three pieces for your money?
It depends. What is your budget? Do you want to go bespoke, made to measure or off the rack?

The most important thing about a suit is a good fit. So, assuming you don't want to spend a couple of thousands for a bespoke suit, you need to find the fit that works best for your body. Pay special attentions to the shoulders, everything else can be fixed by a good tailor. Idealy, you have a knowledgeable sales person who knows what fits you and what adjustments need to be made.

As I said, I mostly buy suitsupply, they offer off the rack and made to measure. Prices start at around 400 dollars for a suit and 600 for a three piece. You won't get better quality workmanship and fabrics at that price point. If you want to spend less my advice would be to rather buy one or two good suits than several cheap ones.

Get a navy suit, a charcoal suit and a light grey suit. Add a couple of Shirts (white and light blue) ties and pocket squares (match the pocket square with your shirt, not with your tie) two pairs of black oxford shoes and you are good to go.

I want to own more suits for more than just funerals. I also like the way I look in suits. I've been working from home for 4 years and I have bulked up since going into MMA so I haven't really had to buy anything. But I have a desire to now.

I only own 1 but I'm looking to buy a few more any recommendations? I was hoping to get a three piece or a full vest kinda deal.

What's the best bang for your buck out there?
immediately leave The Coli :flabbynsick: and head over to Styleforum where you can actually learn from people that do this.
by the time Coli brehs are done with you youll be outside in a Sean Jean denim suit looking like Black Rob in 2001

Yea I basically only wear em for weddings n funerals.

the custom 1 I got is loud AF. other 2 are regular off the rack shyt.

If you bulking n shyt I wouldn't blow the budget. Suits gotta be super fitted.

I'm never in places or situations where I really even get a chance to rock a suit; but I feel you throwing that shyt on makes u feel dapper :ohlawd:

A few. I should get rid of most of them. Can't remember the last time I was in an office, and in the office needing a suit.

My fave right now is a light grey Sienna from Suit Supply

I paid around 750 a couple years back.

What I liked about SS
  • Modern Cuts
  • Nice Italian Fabrics
  • For cut/style/fabric, it's hard to beat.
    • If that stuff is not important, it's hella expensive. You can get wool sack @ the local department store and look fine.
  • Good service - especially compared to Macy's/Dillards/Nordstrom
  • Alts took about 4-6 weeks
Would I spend more than 800-1000? Probably not.

The only folks spending that type of bread are bankers and bank lawyers.

Tbh I want something bespoke or made to measure.
Well, it's hard to recommend something bespoke because that really depends on who the tailors in your area are.

Styleforum is a good resource, just keep in mind that they sometimes tend to be a bit snobby and often favour styles that seem old fashioned to the average breh, like double pleated pants, turn ups, wider jackets and pants, lots of drape etc.
