Boko Haram is another example of hiding behind Islam for political reasons, they're Northerners that are mad that they live in shyt and wanna blame the West for it.
Ignoring that the West was the main force that allowed them to ever have power in the first place, and their leadership squandered all their resources and opportunities.

They used to be open about their political motivations, but now it seems it's mostly theological when they speak.

I'm unsure that Boko Haram is "hiding behind Islam". We should remember that Boko Haram started out as a small sect which opposed secular education from the very beginning. They become a mass militant movement when their leader was killed extrajudicially by the Nigerian security forces. Also, it's important to state that Boko Haram has been quite limited to the Kanuri-speaking North East of the country and doesn't represent the entirety of the North.

Doesn't Boko Haram reject the fact that rain comes from clouds, and that clouds come from evaporating water from oceans (and to a lesser extent rivers and lakes)? 'Allah' makes clouds and rain. They also be shooting up people that bring in medical aid.. That is unacceptably ignant behaviour.
