If you're a member of some secret society of gay dudes plotting the destruction of society or a white racist, Lord Jamar is the greatest blessing you could have. He's like a dream come true.

Any valid points he might have (and there are little ones) are obscured by a thick layer of ignorance, bigotry, and all-around stupidity. So much so, you almost have to reject everything he says based solely on principle alone.

The man is SO confused about the links between sexuality and sociology, race and masculinity, sexuality and race, race and cultural history. There's no way to know where to start.

I don't want to hear rappers debate him. I want to see a psychologist or sociologist debate him. Actually, I don't because it'd make the entire culture look horrible.

You talking about Punks Jump Up? When Sadat X had to change HIS verse?

And if so, how do you know he didn't say the same shyt? Were you in the meetings? Y'all love talking on shyt y'all don't know about

Y'all so ready to protect white people y'all ready to tear down a black man. I'm assuming you're white but I don't get how other black people rather insult a black man who's standing up to the bullshyt white agenda in Hip Hop than actually take heed to what he's saying. Even if you don't agree, he brings up valid points and articulates them very well.

it doesn't matter what he said
its what he does that show his character. telling someone to go fukk themselves and then turning around and doing it anyway means nothing.

BTW, I don't see any white agenda. I've been involved with hiphop and a fan for over 25 years. I see just as many white ppl in hiphop now as I did back then.

If he were to debate Chuck D or Krs on some of these subjects he keeps harping on I doubt they would share his stance, and he couldn't pull that "i'm more Hip Hop than you" shyt on either of them. Not to mention when it comes to stewardship of the culture you probably wouldn't catch either of them letting one of the so called "guests" get him sauced up and in front of a camera to stir up shyt. Nor would you find them using their platform to perpetuate prison culture by making a post-rap career out of playing nikkas in jail.

:mjpls:

But I'm sleep though (did I do that right?)

He can NEVER over-extend his welcome in Hip Hop or his right to his perspective, but he is being very divisive and has allowed Vlad and his snake bullshyt to overshadow anything he's doing, or has done musically in the now.

This, I am a fan of Lord Jamars solo music but dude is playing both sides of the fence here. He was begging ESTABLISHMENT and the powers that be to put him and Brand Nubian on the same level as De La and Tribe just a few years ago, now he is trying to play the REAL NIKKA card, as a contrarian. Most of these people agreeing with him weren't even born when Brand Nubian was in their heydey and now he is an ambassador for Hip-hop as he thinks it should be defined as. I respect his opinion but on the other hand, he cheapens what legacy he has by taking this route. If he has a problem make a song about it MAKE MUSIC.

It's pathetic, right. The nikkas in here attacking lord jamar are small-minded lames who think they're taking the high road, unaware that they're rejecting a brother whose profound critiques stand alone in a world of c00ns following cacs. I'm disgusted by some of the comments I've read in this thread. nikkas are so weak and intellectually bankrupt nowadays. :snoop:

Just like jamar said, you got too many bytch ass nikkas worried about hurting the feelings of whites who don't give a fukk about black people and just see their black "friends" as useful props to ward off accusations of racism.
