Been known for a minute that light skin women are generally pushed more as examples of beauty in the media and in black media like videos over darker women that's been marginalized.
I mean, if you like light skin women or are more attracted to them that's fine as your thing, but understand because of that situation in the media, darker skin women are going to feel frustrated or give side looks at any men who do. It probably doesn't help that there's a lot of jokes in the community about darker skin women being deemed as ugly when it couldn't be further from the truth
Maybe its unfair or not right for them to think any men who happens to be with a light skin women is on that
but by the same token its unfair and not right for black skin women to rarely get that push as a visual example of beauty, so I understand that.
But Young Lupita came through and crushed the buildings in these fashion mags. Hopefully it repeats and we have some diversity and not just a Naomi Campbell one off. It does seem to be at least starting to be questioned in some mainstream culture blogs and publications.

I don't give a fukk about none of that shyt, I judge on an individual basis personality wise and aesthetically, how can I have a set preference without judging the individual when all aren't the same?
