KRIT is not mainstream. Kendrick is OK but hes not connecting with women. Cole is full blown cornball along with anyone who fukks with him heavy. Drake and def Wiz are cornballs too. Ross is a cornball never breaking character. Jay is a cornball for completely selling out and shytting on his legacy with worse and worse music. Etc. etc. There's nobody in the mainstream that comes to mind that I say 'yea thats a cool nikka'. Is there anybody for you?

I dont like "average guy" rap.

LOL

You love exaggerated tales from your childhood 90s gangsta rap. It scares you that the "cornball" brothers are speaking something of relevance and having long term success but like the "cool" nikka that get into drama and jail like mentally unstable bytches.

Besides that, Max. B wasn't on that Young Jeezy or early TI shyt. Especially in that time period where people ONLY fukked with NY vets and southern dance songs.

:mjlol: @ this shyt. That is why you can never be any A&Rs :mjlol:

Saying that Cole is a nobody because he didn't do that ignorant c00n shyt that made Hip Hop into a mess, or have any nonsense street rep but speaks out on shyt that most rappers refuse to talk about.

Max B would have been a regional star and nothing much more than that. He wasn't gonna Young Jeezy the game.
Wow... this is crazy, no wonder why you hate street rappers so much.

How good is this generation of Hip Hop to you? Look back at the golden era, not everybody was a thug but Hip Hop is the voice of the street. Do you even know what a c00n is? J Cole is a good rapper but he is a cornball, he wouldn't make it with his image and content when the REAL MC's were poppin

Get the fukk outta here with that bullshyt, Hip Hop is a mess right now cause of nikkas like you. It became soft cause of nikkas like you, that's why we got gay nikkas like Young Thug representing the street element of the culture

LOL I don't even like Young Thug one bit. Max B wasn't on the level of Stack Bundles. Or JR Writer.

Chuck D would be disappointed with you. Worshipping all that ignorance sure took a toll on your head.

The Golden era was the late 80s. Not the 90s.

What exaggerated tales?

And I have no problem with people speaking things of relevance. I didn't when Nas did it. I didn't when Poor Righteous Teachers did it. I didn't when Dead Prez did it. I didn't when Kendrick did it.

J Cole is a snoozefest, period. And he shares a lot, but since he lived a boring life he doesn't reveal anything worth talking about. But u give him a pass for his non-content because u are corny too. No thanks.

And why would Max B be on some Jeezy/TI shyt? They are from GA, he is from NY :dahell: Thats like saying 'J Cole never went plat cause he was never on that Pitbull shyt' U dont make any sense homie.

I know you don't like Young Thug, I didn't say you did.

But the acceptance of soft rappers is the reason street rappers in the mainstream went from DMX to Young Thug.

And like I said before, not every rapper was a thug in the golden era (I did mean the 80s) but Hip Hop was the voice of the street, that's what it was built on.

And where am I worshipping ignorance?

Be mad at the fact that the "boring" rapper is like 80% of the black kids of generation Y. shyt, you hate anything that expands on that mental slavery shyt that you love.

Nah, if anything, that street shyt got played out by Fif and people moved on to southern rap back in 2003 that led to Young Thugs being in the rap game today. Every action led to a reaction. People can't stagnate and listen to the same stagnant topics, WITH THE SAME RAPPERS, over and over again. The same shyt that killed "real" street rap will kill off this partying shyt soon enough. It's a cycle.

So who you never went half this hard for pro-black MCs that got shafted with the Telecommunications Bill back in 96? :sas2:

Max B wasn't as talented as Stack Bundles or JR Writer. All he had was catchy songs and "swag."

2003 GRODT did 800k 2 weeks in a row I think you mean 2006.

And that started with Kanye West and Soulja Boy. If you recall there was a lot of uproar when that trash southern rap was bubbling in 06, it's to do with the money being put behind these artists in the music industry.

People were't tired of street rap, they were tired of seeing a black man coming from the struggle win :sas2:

It's not a coincidence we got soft rappers like Cole blowing up alongside white artists like Iggy and Macklemore.

Max B wasn't as lyrical as Stack or JR, he would fit into the transition of the southern takeover perfectly. French did it

Black people are not a monolith. There are black MCs from the burbs like Rakim and Chuck D that came from the burbs of Long Island. Not all black people are in some exaggerated struggle. Stop that crabs in a barrel shyt.

Max B would have blew up, regionally, from the "swag" and the singing on hooks that was popular in this era. He wasn't gonna have bytches buying his album like that.

Norfeast groovin…
5 stars because the thread title is true and because true followers of the wave are ethering a lotta stupid fukks.

I'm not gonna even go over all the ignorance I've just read, but Max created his own genre in this Rap shyt no one can re-create the wave. Yet you have Wiz, Future, Drake, Rich Gang, and countless others attempting to do so. But Max couldn't make it? Max was a brief flash of Hip Hop brilliance, he had it all from the raw skills to the charisma and unique style. Max truly was a musical genius, but some people are too close-minded or too lame to ever get in tune. If Max never got locked up and Stack never died it would be a much different rap game. Hell, Byrdgang was the one that popularized the whole rockstar look since Wayne was a Dipstan and fukked with Jim. lmmfao@Max being on french level, french wouldn't be where he's at without Max and he'll be the first to tell you. french? nikka Max would be KONY and all Hip Hop if he ain't take that charge like a fool. :laff:

Just leave the Max B discussion for people that have actually listened to his music brehs. :tu:

I'm not talking about all black rappers, I was talking about 50 Cent specifically.

And yeah he probably wouldn't have sold a lot but he would be bigger than French, put it that way

As nice as Max wasI'm not sure he would reach the commercial heights of French though.
