Why not name other rappers who don't get bumped by certain demographics?

Imagine if someone like Gucci Mane went out of his way to say Atlanta don't fukk with Pusha T like that.

Jamar also said Em shouldn't be considered as good as a rapper as everyone considers him to be.

It would take a painfully long time to type out everything Jamar said about Em

:yeshrug:

If Gucci Mane said that and it was true, why would anyone be upset about it and start questioning his right to say it? Also, if Gucci was repeatedly asked the same question about Pusha on several occasions, why would people keep gettin' upset that he didn't change his answer?

Help me here.

I said what I said, you can deal with it
instead of taking the most minuscule thing about the post and running with it... prove me wrong.

Naa nikka. You fuked up. U said Lord Jamar raps about religion. No real hip hop head would say that.

3 albums that dropped in 05 that disappointed me Proofs Jerry Garcia album...Because Proof was hyped up as being Ems mentor so I was anticipating heavy. I remember XXL gave it a low score...Like an M...CNNs Capones debut because it had been an 8 year hype up only to be a let down. Source gave that one 2 1/2 mics. And Tony Yayos Predicate felon album...Tho I still say if they woulda just grabbed the 8 good songs and made it an ep it woulda been classic. Source gave that 2 1/2 mics too...LOL.

So when u went right for Proof...I knew you were talking out your ass because Lord Jamars debut was way better lyrically and content wise. The only flaw that album had was the production sounded amateur sounding.

Now thats what I would have said to you if you didnt mistake 5% teachings for "religion"....Which off the top tells me u arent familiar with Lord Jamar or Hip Hop at all. As soon as u said that I immediately couldnt take u serious anymore so I'm not gonna waste my time trying to prove anything. I'm just gonna call u out for not knowing hip hop...Yes u dont know hip hop if Rakim had the "Universal Flag" on that 2nd album he did wirh Eric B and 31 years later u think 5% and religion are the same. SMH.

I wouldn’t include him in a top “rappers” discussion period bcuz he has no solo music or if he does not enough to warrant an honest discussion and for me that goes for a lot of artists who were part of a group (and were not the dominant MC) and have no complete solo projects that we can gauge...truth be told having one isn’t really enough...I think it should be 2-3 minimum...however I’m curious to see where folks who know hip hop beyond their era would rank brand nubian as far as top rap groups are concerned

I would put Brand Nubian up there group wise, I can see why you would say they need solo projects (at least 2-3) to be considered at all. But circumstances make me feel otherwise sort of, even though Andre 3000 doesnt have solo material. I can see his influence in every outkast album. To me thats enough to see what he's about, but where I can agree to your point. There's alot of groups that just throw the beat on and split the duties and rap without deeper meaning. That way you cant really quantify who or what people are really capable of. I also wouldnt discredit Eric Sermon or Parish for being in a group because you could easily see that they would both be great separately. Even though you can argue it didnt work out, to me that doesnt matter. PMD and E in my eyes can stand solo and were amazing artists together, its hard to call it. What I think happens is, the more things get muddy and harder to call... its easier to just disqualify them all and call them groups. Certain cats just arent built to stand solo, for better or for worse. People would rather be fans and make excuses instead of calling it for what it is.

It's out of the ordinary to single people out in this way.

The issue is.not jf it's true or not...but why is it being discussed.

Same way Em or Royce don't talk about how Jamar fares when compared to Pubah or Sadat X

:snoop:

I'm not going to argue with you about 5% teachings or the likes, I know the difference and personally dont give a fukk :yeshrug: saying Lord Jamar's production and beats sounded amateur and wack proves my point, even though I'd likely agree with most of what you posted. If he helped with production and then went on to help dead prez and shyt, then how come his solo ended up sounding like trash? It doesnt add up. You cant use Jamar's bad solo production as a cop out but then revel in his production for other people. That just doesnt make any sense. Saying "people dont understand hiphop" is an easy cop out. Nothing you said is remotely some hiphop secret shyt, I know 5% so you do the math :russ: I'm not going to give a nikka props for some average NYC shyt that people were on back in the day. That's an cheap cop out to a expensive discussion, we are talking about hiphop not black man is god shyt. That right there proves my point too with Jamar feeling how he feels. It becomes a discussion different than hiphop when you just bias your opinion around some shyt you believe. Same with if I brought you science and you try to tell me some fantasy shyt you believe. Why debate if you are going to hide behind being close minded? At that point we arent even talking about rap anymore, we are talking about boogey man shyt and what you believe and dont. I believe it all, so I dont know how to respond to hiding behind circumstance. From a technically standpoint Lord Jamar is fukking asscheeks at rapping and weak nikkas could torch him:yeshrug: no amount of nothing is going to change that. Flavor Flav has better verses and songs than Lord Jamar. If you want to put your all supreme hiphop shyt to the test, then we can lay down some tracks and see who knows what. Telling people that dont agree with you, that they know nothing isnt a winning answer in hiphop. Unless you can tell me some crazy shyt that blows my mind, all of the "hiphop" trivia shyt you spout is just average knowledge... I was around for that shyt, I know. I can't prove with info and puzzling juxtaposition that you are a dumb ass because I dont believe you are... but I surely can exploit and make music that would fold you like panties at a el debarge concert. So I dont know what to tell you, keep feeling yourself and running in circles. For you, a person who doesnt make music I dont know what to say... I'm not going to take someone's opinion as super worthy if they dont know what they are doing. I still think you are a top poster but nobody is going to ride or change history for Lord Jamar... people arent taking him serious as a rapper. It would be better just to say white people make clown ass music with no rhythm and do their best black impressions and people would respect it more. :mjlol: I have no problem saying that, as a man you should speak your mind. Instead of saying the hood dont listen to eminem, just say black people think he's fukking trash and we cant relate to that trailer trash shyt. See how easy that was :russ:

You got to know the ledge to wise the dumb
And understand your culture of freedom
Power equally with the Gods
So you can build and born your cipher
All your life you must teach truth
Of the true and living God, not a mystery spook
And when you do that, pursue that goal
Which made the student enroll and only then you'll prospe

I tried to rewrite history, Parrish is one of my favorites of all time... so I just gloss that other shyt over :russ: He's legitimately got one of the best voices and flows of all time
I'm glad someone caught that though, cause I tried to be like "yeah just forget that PMD solo shyt" :bryan:

Are u saying LJs solo sounds like trash? Because I never said that. You said that. I dont think it sounds like trash at all. I didnt even say it was wack.... those are your words......I said "amateur."

Look at how u twisted my words to prove a point that doesnt exist and then had the nerve to say your made up words was me doing a"cop out.":snoop:

This is why I cant take u or anything u say serious.

And Source gave LJs album 3 1/2 mics....the same rating they gave Dead Prezs Lets Get Free album. Guess u shot yourself in the foot yet again with that comparison.:mjlol:
