I stopped watching on like ep 4 or 5, because this was coming on at the same time as the House of the Dragon, and it just wasn't on the same level.

Is it worth coming back to this and finishing it?

Still love it. Gorgeous show with a GOAT level soundtrack* (*for tv series standards) and visuals.

The story is mostly a hit for me, as well.

On the flip side, I stopped watching House of the Dragon after a few episodes and watched this instead.

HoD was too incesty and depressing for me.

This show is watchable just off the strength of being based on Tolkien's world.

The keyzer soze/verbal kint rip off ending was memorable.

It was a bit shyt. But us suckers are gonna watch regardless off the strength of reading the books when we were kids.

the only good thing about this was the prologue in episode 1 and seeing Dwarf city of Khazad Dûm.

as a tolkien nerd everything else was meh. some bad casting choices for sure.
