The City of Los Angeles is the worst - pockets of affluence separated by corridors of homelessness. The result of the failed policies by single party rule; continual imported poor, failing schools, over regulation of businesses, move towards Northern California socialism (Harris, Newsome, Gasconne), an under manned/trained police/sheriff force, and graft plagued, corrupt and feckless leadership.
We get what we keep voting for.

I hate to be that guy, but this is happening in the most liberal state and most liberal city in the country. I mean, at some point, liberals have to take responsibility for this.

Down on their luck people go to LA because in liberal places like that they are more likely to receive help than in Republican strongholds where they are better off just going to jail for three hots and a cot than trying to utilize social services to survive on the outside.

I will say the homeless problem wasn’t always as bad as it is now. the socioeconomic impact of COVID has made the issue a lot worse.

it used to be confined to mostly skid row/downtown, and small pockets in Hollywood, Venice....now I’m seeing mini tent-cities and encampments literally all over the city, under every overpass, and increasingly closer to residential neighborhoods. we need some solutions.

mostly art-types, and creatives...a lot of recent LA transplants because downtown is still fairly affordable compared to the west side of the city...so yeah it’s people who work in fashion, food, film, music or do business downtown

They have privilege.
Someone will give them a place to stay (more than likely white)
Someone will give them a second chance to redeem themselves (more than likely white)

WE do NOT have these safety nets that white people have. I've been trying to stress this to the board...but people on this forum are fake as fukk and pretending they don't get it to position themselves higher than homeless people...even though they're probably a few missed paychecks or one away from sleeping in their car.

I went through that...so YOU wouldn't have to.

People want to feel better than others at their lowest, to make them feel better about their shyt position in life.
When i was homeless, people made fun of me on this board to make themselves feel better.

Then I got my life right...and those same people are repping me in threads and trying to act like they ain't never talked shyt on me.

I know who they are too...I won't @ them because I am luckily not a vengeful person like that.

You shouldn't put your feelings and perception on to others. Do you guys realize there are people all over the world who live in shacks and mud huts who are perfectly happy? They enjoy there freedom and are perfectly happy not having to slave away for 40 hours a week. We have been brainwashed by living in luxury or simple comfortability. These people are admirable in the sense they are like children who don't care about not having the bullshyt we slave away for. People go to L.A to make it all the time,why wouldn't you go there and set up a tent and try to live your dream? But all in all poverty and a tent doesn't mean sadness and depression for some people. People really have to stop making assumptions and projecting.
