- 2015. Used the money I made from working at Aflac to get a place in Jackson heights for the low and was running a pop up fashion boutique in the LES in September that year.

- that was right around the time I wrecked my car that I was sleeping in on Myrtle in woodside...so I lucked out there.

- I would hang out in bars in bushwick and network while spending time before I had to crash out somewhere...that led me to some crazy after hours parties in Brooklyn...williamsburg to be exact. Lol.

They also make it illegal to feed the homeless and put spikes on benches so people cant sleep on them....

There is no such thing as a cure for homelessness. Most of these people are mentally ill or drug addicts who have no desire to change their circumstance. We have to tackle the mental illness and addiction issue first before we can really address homelessness.

My solution is to open several major homeless encampments within the city where people can get help with their mental illness and housing. I would decriminalize personal drug use in these encampments and put as much resources into the mental health and addiction aspect of the community. Each homeless encampment would have its own police, and ideally have enough small business in the area where the encampments become their own legal economy.

The idea is to be able to address mental health and addiction first while giving the homeless a sense of purpose for their lives. A lot of these people fall victim to these addictions because they have lost all hope in life.

People really just can't fathom people who don't mind being homeless that much. But those people exist,and why would you be homeless anywhere but L.A when you can be comfortable on all fronts.

Why would anybody choose to be homeless over having a roof over their head? Especially when it's raining? Do y'all even think before you hit that "post" button?

I know plenty people who choose to live in tents so they can spend more money on drugs.

It's not uncommon but I live in Seattle.
