I think this the most consistent i been in over half a decade. I push myself on the days i feel tired to work out and im staying disciplined with my diet and have been at it for 3 solid months now. Everyone at work is noticing my cut.
3lbs away from my target body fat :wow:

Got blood work down 2 weeks ago and my LDL levels were at 172mg ( ). Also need to up my HDL.

Thinking it's hereditary because I dont eat much fatty foods. But nonetheless, I cut out trans fat altogether (not like i ate junk a lot anyways), and keep my saturated fat below 10g a day. Due to this, im only getting 1600-1800 cals a day eating healthy nuts (:dame:), white meats (:dame:), veggies, fruits and healthy fats and carbs.

Very important if u in your 30's+ to start getting them blood work check ups done.

Update

I am now 168. Chest and arms are getting toned. I upped my protein intake….. Incorporated some healthy fats in my diet ….. now I’m going start Incorporating carbs…… body starting to look good (pause). I don’t look skinny fat…. I just have a little stubborn love handles on the side that’s slowly going away! I Haven’t had a drink since Father’s Day. I just came back from vacation at the Bahamas and had no drinks at all…. My wife was a little tight because I worked out a few days on vacation lol

I’m hearing conflicting things about doing cardio after lifting ….. I’m hearing it will mess up gains and some saying it won’t

Do you have any advice?

I was told that you're supposed to cardio before lifting if you're trying to lose visceral fat, you do it after lifting if you're trying to put on muscle.

I don’t think 10 lbs is too quick. That beginning weight is easiest to lose because of the calorie deficit you’re creating. Imagine going from 28k kcal/wk (4,000 calories a day) a week to 12,600 kcals a week (1800 calories a day). That’s a loss of almost 8 pounds in a week. And it is not hard to eat. Over 4000 calories a day with how calorically dense some foods are. 1 sausage biscuit from McDonald is 440 calories. Add the hash brown and that’s another 147 calories. Add a Sweet Tea that’s 280 calories. I would eat 2 sausage biscuits, 2 has browns, and a sweet tea. That’s almost 1500 calories and that’s before the clock struck 9am. Imagine what you’d eat at 1pm and then 6pm, and snacks in between. Once you start monitoring that shyt you’re setting yourself up for success.

I started my journey 2 months ago. Was 270 (6ft tall in my late 30s) and now I’m 250. Working to get to 225. That is my next goal. Just keep going!
Just because we in here talking about being better in life, imma update my post. Now a brotha is at 235. It’s just about having some consistency, good planning, and not being afraid to work (even when you don’t want to do it). Yesterday, I threw on a 20lb vest and walked on my treadmill (doing an interval incline type of cardio). shyt was amazing. I've not felt this good since my mid 20s. Brehs just stay the course. That shyt is worth it. About 10 more pounds to go, then I'm buying myself that supercharger I want!!!!

Warning this is going to detox you and clean your intestines in a non explosive way, boil grinded ginger and Turmeric add a table spoon of flaxseeds let it all boil for 10-15 mins once it's done mix in a bag of green tea. This is a combination of detox and jump starting your metabolism , no sugar or sweetener is way better use organic honey.
Do some form of cardio Jump rope is the biggest cheat code 10 mins you burn as much as 45 min running as long as you keep moving. Do core and exercise the one that works best for me is a push up variation called mountain climber, pretty much once you in the up position of the floor bring one knee towards your chest bring it back down do the other leg then go back down to the original starting position. Every push up do that and it's a relatively easy work out that works your shoulders, chest, triceps and core. Another cheat I do is I reward myself I leave my joint in view as a reward for when I finish to help with the soreness :mjlit:
