This is not even debatable.

I didnt say he is the best, but he's in the conversation.

Dude has never dropped a wack album, and has one of the most soulful voices in R&B.

His first album with "Sweet Lady" and "Lately", "Nobody Else" Platinum.

The second album with "I Like Them Girls", "Baby Boy", "Make Up Your Mind" "What Am I Gonna Do. Gold.
:wow:

The third album "I Wanna Go There" and "Signs of Love Making", "All Ghetto". Of course "How You Gonna..." but the rest of the album cuts(title track, "I Must Be Crazy", "Kinna Right") were my favs. That album and those songs changed music for me.

Fourth album, "Alter Ego", a 2CD album, was a true R&B album at a time when R&B was beginning to change. The first disc R&B, 2nd disc was Tyrese rapping. This is his best album overall....production/writing from Tricky, R. Kelly, Underdogs, B. Cox. No skippable tracks on this one.

One of the GOAT bedroom jams

Fifth album, "Open Invitation". My least favorite album of the bunch, but I really need to give it another listen b/c it was a successful album.

"Stay" was a huge single for him, "Nothing On You" was successful too.

TGT :wow: :mjcry:
Just simply a GOAT R&B album for me. My fav R&B album of the past 10 years. Tank shined the most b/c he's obvious a producer/writer on many of the tracks, but Tyrese completes that album with his soulful voice.

Finally his last album, "Black Rose"
"Shame" is one the best R&B songs in I don't know how long. A true soulful ballad that stayed near the top of the charts for MONTHS. "Dumb Sh*t", one of the most creative/honest songs about a dude cheating....a great song held back by the title. "Addict", another classic bedroom jam.

In addition to all this, dude is one of the few singers who sounds exactly like his records.
in this performance, maybe even better than the record

another one

If you look at his entire body of work, he's been one of the best and most consistent, while still being somewhat underrated, in my opinion.

This is dumb as hell. Usher and Chris Brown are better. Usher is the GOAT of our generation imo.

:what:

be careful OP

these fools not educated in R&B

they don't know anything about Tyrese being one of the best

I'm so damn glad you posted this right after the previous post. Props.

We all have different taste, but Tyrese has been one of the best R&B artist the past 20 years. Hell, who even is around from 20 years ago still? Only a small handful

Doesn’t have the body of work and I question what his voice sounds like today.

1. What body of work are you looking for? And how many R&B singers are still around from 20 years ago and still dropping major release albums and songs that get airplay? Usher, R. Kelly? The list is VERY SMALL

2. I just posted a recent live performance from him. His voice hasn't changed. You clearly didnt read thru my original post.

Now you're giving him props on some Darrell Green shyt .

No. Tyrese is still dropping songs(like "Shame") that get major RADIO airplay.

There's PLENTY of R&B acts from the 90s hanging on to indie releases and albums that drop with little to no fanfare.

Tyrese is not in that category.

THUNDER BUDDIES
NO DOUBT HE IS TALENTED. I ALSO AGREE THAT HE IS PROBABLY TOP 5 MALE R&B SINGER OF OUR GENERATION. TOP 10 OVERALL FOR SURE.

THAT BEING SAID, HE HAS A LANE AN DOESN'T VENTURE FAR FROM IT. I CAN'T REMEMBER ANY UPBEAT TYRESE SONGS AND CAN'T REMEMBER HIM DOING ANY SONGS NOT ABOUT "OOH BABY I LOVE YOU".
