Just got the call and was told to not come back to my part time job. I worked at an activity center for senior citizens. (I taught academic classes as well as some physical education stuff.) Anyway, I was told that someone at the center felt "threatened" by me, and that they couldn't keep me there because of it. I was also told not to appeal to the board, because the board had already agreed that I should be let go.It was rewarding work, but I really wanted to keep the gig because I have a wedding to pay for. Shyt has me furious.

It's ok.

It happens to all black people in some fashion or another.

We have all been there man....you are just getting your "stripes"

If you are trying to pay for a wedding and this job really ain't shyt to you then I suggest you do not get a lawyer but that is your call.

This is just a part of growing up as black but you know that already I'm sure.

Just take your dignity and keep it moving.

If the board has approved this, then I cannot appeal this decision, which is why I think (if she is telling the truth) she got things approved through them first. I'm pretty heated, but right now I am calling all my former clients and letting them know that I will not be back. I am not at ease with this, but I am going to chill out a bit first. Don't wanna make any decisions when I am this upset. I will have to do something, because this bullshyt could potentially cost me my full time job as well.
