The best comedians (carlin, pryor ect.) are always the ones that can take the uncomfortable issues and put them on the table under the guise of telling a joke, the court jester was always the realest and most effective entertainer...

His bit about newscasters or TV people in general saying shyt like "the n-word" is really just them trying to get away with saying ****** is hilarious as it is important...you wanna paint the image, put the words and suggestions into peoples minds but don't want to say it? As if the absence of the actual sound should lessen the impact when all you've done is made me, or whoever is watching say the word internally

I understand why people don't like the n-word bit but I find it humorous. He doesn't just fly off the handle and go Kramer with it, he's giving you commentary and showing you how the word has impact regardless of if it's said or not. In the Opie vid, Patrice says "kike" and nobody bats an eye much, but Louis asks where ****** comes from and EVERYBODY starts cracking up at it, and Patrice even adds to the joke.

IMO it's one thing to just go up and tell a bunch of race-based jokes like "white people do this/black people do this" on some Cedric the Entertainer Hope Creed/Wish Factor type shyt, and another to really spotlight impact of a word and push that boundary(which Louis does). The brand of comedy isn't for everyone, dude definitely has the shock value in his style, but if you break down what he's saying, he's not being a racist. Sure he presses his luck with the repeating of it, but IMO, as Jerry pointed out, he's found the humor in it in the same way comedians have found humor in other uncomfortable topics. This specific one just happens to have much more emotional ties than any other topics.
