see, now u see what im talkin about. and it had to take me drawing a comparison to somethin YOU cared about for u to understand. this is the disconnect many whites such as yourself have. im glad i could bring it out of u

He's a comedian, who cares if he has said the n word in a bit that wasn't even racist. You think Chris Rock would fukk with him if he was racist?

:dead: The thing that annoys me most is people telling me
what I should and shouldn't be offended by.
So I'm supposed to find it funny that a comedian is
calling chris rock a N1gger four or five times ?
Where is the humor in hat ?
Chris Rock CLEARLY didn't find it funny.
Neither did Jerry.
Actually it kinda made everyone except Louis "I'm a cool white guy so
it's okay" CK uncomfortable.

I don't see if the same way as y'all. I personally don't even use the word myself, but it's use in humor is complicated. CK himself was being clearly self-deprecating in that clip, which a comedian like Rock understands. Jerry tried to defend Kramer's racist ass in real life, something CK would never do, so it's not as simple as respecting Jerry and calling CK a racist. The other thing is that CK isn't "comfortable" at all- he's doing the opposite and showing how uncomfortable the word is deliberately.

I can dig that perspective...Jerry saying what sumbody like him has to say...there's nothing edgy about jerry seinfield as a comedian or entertainer far as I know.

I remember Chris rock had a interview with George Carlin on his show and Carlin talked about how he likes to push the boundary and make people uncomfortable at first and then bringin people over to his side and making them laugh:heh:...that's what the edgy comedians do,and Chris Rock is from that same school...he coulda got mad but I'm sure he's used to it and has dished it out,it would be fake outrage probaly.

Exactly.
Chris Rock was c00nin it up to the fullest :snoop: How the hell do u allow that type of shyt to happen right in front of you? :mindblown: Some of yall nikkaz get too gatdamn comfortable with white folks sayin "******" and yall give them passes and make excuses like its ok. fukk that :pacspit:

It's not about making excuses or "allowing" anything, it's about being responsible for your own emotions and how you react to shyt. At the end of the day your perception and self image are really going to color the way you see the world and actual racist white folk want nothing more than for you to keep yourself in check by reacting from a victims state of mind...so that you can stay there.

It ain't enough to just have white folks in power, the plan works partly, if not mostly because of the psychology of black folks in america in general. Then you have the conditioning and psychology of white folks to examine as well and that's where I like Louie's angle.

You got all these white people at his show that came to laugh at funny jokes, and they certainly do but they are also being confronted with their own psychological habits and conditioning. The best comedians (carlin, pryor ect.) are always the ones that can take the uncomfortable issues and put them on the table under the guise of telling a joke, the court jester was always the realest and most effective entertainer...

His bit about newscasters or TV people in general saying shyt like "the n-word" is really just them trying to get away with saying ****** is hilarious as it is important...you wanna paint the image, put the words and suggestions into peoples minds but don't want to say it? As if the absence of the actual sound should lessen the impact when all you've done is made me, or whoever is watching say the word internally

Rock was riding the joke out and building on it further. I get that you don't agree with CK, but I don't see how you can say Rock didn't find that funny when he actually played off CK and went further with it.
