I already knew why you were mad so that was a waste of everyone's time.

That's right, if you respond to posts, you must be mad. Thanks for clearing that up.

Sticking to our line of discussion, why don't you explain how you have a right to get offended over this and yet gay people were wrong for rallying against Tracy Morgan. Im looking for specifics here because you've provided none.

Gay people can get offended over whatever they choose, doesn't mean I need to care. That what you wanted to hear?

And no, this doesn't mean that I'm offended by "all" comedians, or even this comedian. Like I said before, Bill Burr and George Carlin both said things that I don't agree with, yet, because they were talented enough to make their point without being edgy for the sake of being edgy to compensate for the apparent said lack of talent, I still took in in stride.

There's nothing wrong with edginess, goodness knows all my favorite comedians use it, but it's when you use it to compensate for your lack of talent, AND try to tell other people how they should feel about your bullshyt material, is where I have a problem. You may be okay with falling in line with what he tells you to do, fine, do you homie.

I didn't agree with George Carlin's break down of the N-word privilege, but, the routine was so well done and (more importantly) funny, I took it all in stride.

Does this change the fact that Louis C.K. is talentless, unfunny hack?

Nope. :mjpls:

How is Louie a "Hack"?

"Ooh, look at me, I'm not funny so I'm going to be edgy, invasive and tell other people how they should feel about things to compensate for my apparent lack of talent as a comedian."

Dude uses "edgy" low-brow humor to compensate for the fact that he simply isn't funny.

I've got no problem with edgy low-brow humor, plenty of my favorite comedians (even Carlin himself) use it, but at least they're funny.

And that's the bottom line, he's a hack because he's not funny.

I guess I got spoiled with George Carlin, the dude's wordplay and ability to construct and build jokes was just :wow:

This isnt the typical "u mad" resort. The basis of everything youve said in here is because Louis CK's comedy routine literally makes you mad. So don't run away from that.

And you said Tracy's situation was "totally different" from this, implying that that as yet unnamed difference was the reason you didnt have a problem with his comedy like you do Louis'. Again, what makes it "totally different?"

You sure are trying hard to scurry away from your statements, hiding under semantics

Running from what?

I said that I got a problem with his apparent lack of talent and the fact that he oversteps his boundaries by trying to tell people how they should feel about his shytty material?

If you want to believe that I'm "mad" about it, be my guest.

Whatever makes you feel better. :manny:

And you said Tracy's situation was "totally different" from this, implying that that as yet unnamed difference was the reason you didnt have a problem with his comedy like you do Louis'. Again, what makes it "totally different?"

Let's get a few things straight here:

1) YOU brought up the Tracy Morgan situation, not me. You're the one that brought in this red herring fallacy in the first place...but I'll play along, which brings me to my next point.

2) I said the situation is different because, honestly, I'm not offended by his jokes. Like I said, plenty of comedians work "edgy" material and speak on matters that, otherwise, got nothing to do with them. The problem I got with Louis Cracker ass, is that dude basically tries to be invasive and CONVINCE people that he's funny, and otherwise tell them how they should feel about his material (as well as other people's experience).

There's a difference between an edgy joke, and just flat out telling people how they should feel about your bullshyt material/opinions. You can't convince people you got talent no matter how hard you try. And that's where Louis Crackerhack falls short of Carlin. You don't need to be convinced that Carlin is talented, it's all there. He's not on shows telling people how they should feel about how he uses the word, "******" for example.

THAT is why the Tracy Morgan situation and my point of view is completely different, breh.

.... :snoop:

:dead: @ "He's a mexican that just happens to look white".
Being Mexican is like being an American.
You can be a white, black or indian mexican.
:smh:

That isn't to deny that darker skinned
mexican look a certain way. Likely due the mixing that went on down there.

Dude, I know this. :snoop:

But the logic is, Mexican, American, African, etc., all carry visual connotations of what they look like.

That's the point I'm making. If he was a regular looking Mexican, he would be viewed differently. But nobody thinks he's Mexican. He told a story about how this girl at the airport was talking down about in AZ was talking bad about Mexicans, obviously having no clue that he himself is one.

The definition of a "hack" is not someone who "is not funny"

A "Hack" is someone that goes through old "tried and true"/basic material to get laughs, offering no new perspective to any subject and bringing nothing new to the table. A Hack is someone who has little creativity...

Louie CK pretty much does the opposite... Part of his appeal is he offers new perspective on certain subjects and also highlights a lot of funny observations that most people do not even think of and dude is obviously creative in setup for jokes and his writing credits.

So again, how is Louie a "Hack"? If anything, he is the farthest thing from a "hack"

"New perspective". :aicmon: :comeon:

George Carlin already did the whole "calling out white privilege" bit way back when, more or less.

Case in point:

[ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dcr8dm9Prkk[/ame]

And it doesn't stop here either, Carlin's got plenty of random material scattered about where he basically spends time deconstructing "white privilege".

You missed my point though... A joke avoids being hackish when you are able to convey it in a different way than your elders did... That is where the creativity comes in. Simply covering subject matter that has been covered before does not mean you're hackish... if that were the case, EVERY comedian is a hack than :pachaha:...

If you can pull it off in your own creative way, than it isn't hackish... That is what I mean by "new perspective"

This is the reason why Dave Chapelle and Chris Rock are not hackish with their race comedy even though Richard Pryor already covered that subject...

Also, The "white guilt shyt" is probably 10-20 minutes out of the 8-12 hours of Material that Louie probably has, so even if He was "hackish" on the white guilt subject matter, 10-20 minutes doesn't define your entire career...

You seem real upset though, So i'll leave you to it...
