What was the issue with Lovie's personality? SMH @ fanbases that want their QB's to be on that "Aww, gee shucks" Colt McCoy bullshyt.

he talks down the media and is dry as shyt. that's the main gripe. of course no one would care if he won a super bowl, but when you our there insulting our intelligence saying the o-line is progressing, and todd collins is our QB and we have faith in him then :aicmon:

lovie falls under that "tough break" umbrella

he not a horrible coach, and its tragic that the front office never provided him and the offense with a legitimate o line.

same time they did provide him with weapons though, and as beanie posted, he is responsible for tice, basically making him liable for the offense.

last year the bears won 5 in a row and fell apart when cutler went down, this season they were 7-1 and once again cutler got hurt. the momentum of the team took a hit.

and the nfc was just another monster this season with the emergence of teams like washington and seattle and nobody thought minny would do much. normally 10-6 gets you in.

but the front office just cant sell the fanbase on another year of lovie. which is what this is all about. if lovie was a ozzie type of character then they could sell him, but this dude just too classy for these rowdy bear fans. they want to hear some horns blazing, not " we are 8-4 with rex grossman as our quarterback" for a whole season. im on the fence with the firing, only because im in confusion on who they can replace him with that would be credible. he coming into a defense with a lot of vets who wont just get behind anybody. we have a knuckle head qb and a weird ass wide receiver. if it aint a legit name the locker room could implode.

so if some star power follows lovie, then its cool. but if another long term d. cord or o cord comes in then this could get worst, especially if the front office once again fails to get the o line fixed. o line being bad limits forte ability to operate, it limits what the offense can do in the passing game. another TE wouldnt hurt either.

PREACH :lawd:

.

I said I was on the fence with him staying or leaving earlier. but I'm fine with him leaving.

that being said, you know the bears NEVER EVER hire a head coach with previous head coaching experience. everyone we hire since I have been watching uses the bears as their first head coaching position starting from:

Ditka
Wandstedt
Jauron
Lovie

I GUARUNTEE whomever is brought in will be an up and coming coordinator and not someone with previous NFL head coaching experience.

Dumbass decision. A lot of the Bears shortcomings had to do with not having the right personnel. We JUST got a legit receiver this year after starting midgets. We had Mushin Muhammad, but he was already 30+ when we signed him. Our O-Line is still terrible. Cutler is erratic as fukk!

I think the main thing I hate is the stupid fans complaining that he "didn't show passion." They want a coach who is gonna scream at officials. Lovie was too calm for them, but guess who respected that calm demeanor? The players! I don't see these players responding to a coach who's gonna scream at them.

People didn't like that Lovie never got "fired" up, and they hated that he was so laid back. It's stupid, but it is what it is.

Bear fans out here talking about players shouldn't love their coach, but they should respect him. Chicago fans are demanding and the bullshyt that Lovie continued to push in press conferences is what people are pissed off about.

i literally broke 2 tv 's the "we are such and such record with rex grossman as our qb" season.

but its in the marketing and the politics. the front office cant sell the fanbase on lovie anymore. its been 9 seasons, only 3 playoff appearances, o cord, after o cord, o line still not fixed which aint on lovie but most fans dont understand that a horrible o line limits your play calling. all they see is forte trying to gut some bs up the middle and a ton of force feeding to marshall.

but the time mismanagement which we all complained about def falls on lovie

and the prevent d which we seemed to fall into most 2nd halves of games falls on lovie too.

past that, he got the players to play for him. so its like if you got a bad bytch, yall break up, you cant come around the fam with nothing less than a 9. you come around with a 3-5 and the fam looking at you like you fell off.

some coach with no experience cant come into that locker room with all those questionable characters and think they will respond.

owners need to open they pockets and get a legend in here.

I'm listening to the score, and I heard that too. I am NOT with that plan. Even tho his QB rating was 104 this season, I am not trying to have us bring in another "game manager" type qb.
