Kind of the same reason I never enjoyed the really brutal end of hardcore (glass, barbed wire ropes etc) - you can get cheap pops from destroying your body for an audience, but you don't need to and given I get the same, if not more actual entertainment value out of an AJ or a Nakamura as I did a Hulk or a Warrior it feels kinda pointless and needlessly self destructive in 2017.
If people want to do it, I don't really have a problem with it, but it should be seen for what it is - a cheap way to look impressive usually masking a profound inability to actually perform.

Like other's said, it's the p*ssyfooting around it by the blatant users that annoys me more than anything. When I was more of a workrate geek I cared about it a ton, but now, meh.
I still see the ethical issues of it all, but if somebody makes the choice, then hey, that's them.
