Eddie's life long addiction problems had more to do with his death than the steroids, and Benoit's brain was a mess because of concussions. Countless athletes have used PEDs, but they don't drop dead in their 40s because they're not abusing recreational drugs at the same time.

Idk about the "big sweaty men" comment cause that definitely doesn't apply to me.
I will say though, that the illusion that wrestlers are world class fighters and gapplers gets a bit cloudy when they look sloppy. Chris hero is a good example of this; when in shape he is generally more convincing as a tough guy. Unless you're the total opposite like Owens or Bigelow who look like brawlers in a bar, just being a fat guy or worse just being just...A guy, like Zach sabre jr, takes away from the suspension of belief.
