On the reddit thread they said dude probably is getting written up for using the wrong machine and they specifically train them on which machine to use.

:dead: Viral embarrassment and a write up
They don't train you. You take a test on a computer. At the end of the test, you e-sign saying you're trained. Yeah, you'll get field training but everything is on you. You f up, that's yo ass

Every nikka on here has lifted something, went "oh shyt" in they head, but was already committed and just had to see it through. They just weren't squealing like a stuck pig while doing it.
Go ahead and make that thread. I’d be interested in hearing some oh, shyt moments from my fellow COLI brethren!

Worked at Sears seasonally once not to far outta high school in the tools department. Had to let a pallet of improperly wrapped mechanic tool sets hit the floor. They weren’t properly stored on the shelves in the back. Not even sure why they had them stacked so high given how they were wrapped… Just glad they didn’t fall on nobody.

  • A viral TikTok with 2.7 million views shows a Lowe's employee nearly being crushed while struggling to retrieve a large box from a high shelf.
  • In the TikTok, the employee screams in pain and pleads for help when carrying the object down a lift.
  • Lowe's said that the video's actions are "contrary to the training" the company provides employees.
Lowe's said it has taken "prompt action" after a viral TikTok appeared to show an employee screaming in pain as a large object nearly crushes them.

In the video, which takes place near a furniture display in an unidentified Lowe's, the employee is riding down a store lift as they try to bring down a heavy box from a high shelf. The box seems to press against the person's head, neck, and chest.

The TikTok was uploaded by user Spencer Desormeaux this week and has been viewed 2.7 million times. At least one employee is heard encouraging the struggling coworker by saying "keep coming down" and "you can't be scared," whereas another one says "that's not a good idea."

Eventually, while coming down, the object tilts and pushes the employee back into the railing. "Help, help," the employee screamed. "Please, somebody, please" the person pleaded as employees gathered to help.

"Just another day at Lowes with Kelly boy 😂" the caption of the TikTok reads.

Lowe's spokesman Larry Costello told Insider Friday "we are aware of the incident and have taken prompt action to address it."

"The safety of our associates and customers is embedded in our culture at Lowe's, and the actions in this video are contrary to the training that Lowe's provides," Costello said in an email.

Costello did not respond to follow-up questions about what action Lowe's took and what training Lowe's provides employees when it comes to operating a lift.

Felt bad for him until I found out the patio set weighs 97lb :francis:

Shame on the person who uploaded it still. Thinking about it, he might have autism which can come with dyspraxia. There's no way someone who is fully functioning should struggle with a 100lb box.

I worked at Best Buy in the back of the store warehouse. Had to use the lift to get big ass tv’s down. We got trained but we were young and dumb. We weren’t using the belt or the chains to close in the platform. I dropped a 60 inch Samsung from 20 feet up and it landed on its face. I slid that shyt into the returns area of the warehouse and slapped a “do not inventory” sticker on it.

There is no training, only self testing and driving. Much like other companies, Lowes encourages employees to bully other employees
