I remember when this song came out I fukked with it heavily , hell it was my favorite song in 2010. I liked the song because it was something different and it got me into some of that Edm music. But due to the success of the song, all of a sudden you had other R&b singers such as Chris Brown, Neyo, Beyonce, Rihanna and others hopping on the Edm wave. And to top it all off you had a new generation of R&b singers who wanted to be more like rappers then singers.

Nah, that joint didn't do it. It was going toward that direction, but this officially did it:

Lol this song was a guilty pleasure. Ursha was dropping a lot of heat around 09-2010

As to why R&B died? The black youth that came of age in the late 2000s-present grew up entirely on hip hop & not on R&B/soul like the previous generations, and the church isn't as big in the community so kids aren't being taught how to sing & play instruments

I don't know if it was this song in particular, but songs like this definitely are the culprit.

Just think of the "bedroom" R&B Usher used to make. Other races were envious/jealous of that type of music because their women were getting turned on by and wanted to fukk to that music. When they did, their men lacked the rhythm and sexiness to go with the song.

Songs like OMG and DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love are like strobe lights. They hid the other races lack of rhythm in the bedroom and are the "Can U Handle It" and "Nice and Slow" for non-Blacks in the bedroom

I thought the shyt was dope..... I think this was my rebel years against mainstream rap. It was nothing but sellin dope on records. I was maybe 2-3 years rockin in corporate amer and stopped fukkin wi my anything that wasn’t conscious rap. Always been a hip hop head but I was just disappointed.....this is like around the time when lyrics became irrelevant and I only listened to super lyrical shyt or old shyt. I got my need for catchy / rhythmic shyt from shyt like this b/c it wasn’t as harsh (if that makes sense).
