The transfer portal opens in the beginning of January. Programs want to have their new staff in place well before that. Waiting until the end of the season to fire a coach would put them behind the competition.

I think these schools are not thinking things through, and money will be tighter than they think because you gotta clip the coach the polos, and coordinators. get the new coach and his polos, and coordinators, and maintain the current roster plus who the new coach wants

I think they will have enough bites at the apple, given access to talent, but if said coach doesn’t get it done, he’s getting clipped too

He gave up 50 points to samford, got blown out by South Carolina as a 20 point favorite, and if Vandy had Lea and Pavia he sure as hell would've gotten smoked by Vandy.

Dan went 13-10 in his last two seasons at Florida, 5-9 on his last 14 games (Kelly went 8-6 his last 14).

He stopped recruiting completely and did a half ass job with managing staff, apparently Kelly did fukk up with staffing too, and was an extremely unlikable dikkhead just like Brian Kelly.

Brian Kelly is LSU's Dan Mullen, but he had more success there.

I agree Kelly deserved to be fired too, for the same exact reason Mullen deserved to get fired from UF.

Dan Mullen also got lucky he inherited Kyle Trask from Horse Teeth otherwise he would've had an even worse record trying to play Emory Jones and whatever other trash QBs he recruited.

750k living alumni who aren’t frugal when asked to open up their wallets. IIRC, they have the largest percentage of public university grads who give back to their university (something like 33-37%). And yes, not all of that is going to the athletic program but they did just pay $700 mil for stadium upgrades and 20% of that was from “friends of the program.” They REALLY care about athletics. They pack the arena for the wrestling team like it’s a white out.

Our wrestling team has won 4 straight championships and 12 of the last 15. Put some respect on it.

Texas A & M is the equivalent of Saudi money in the world of college football. LSU and most of the SEC is dusty compared to the Texas schools.
