These schools doing too much... all these firings can wait til December honestly.
The transfer portal opens in the beginning of January. Programs want to have their new staff in place well before that. Waiting until the end of the season to fire a coach would put them behind the competition.

And early signing day is December 3rd. These programs are going to have hire their new coaches swiftly

I think these schools are not thinking things through, and money will be tighter than they think because you gotta clip the coach the polos, and coordinators. get the new coach and his polos, and coordinators, and maintain the current roster plus who the new coach wants
So you think LSU in the NIL era is going back to winning a natty with every coaching hire sans Brian Kelly? Or are you saying they wont but that expectation won't change and so they will continue get caught in a cycle of firing coaches?
I think they will have enough bites at the apple, given access to talent, but if said coach doesn’t get it done, he’s getting clipped too

idk what makes Penn State so attractive as a job
750k living alumni who aren’t frugal when asked to open up their wallets. IIRC, they have the largest percentage of public university grads who give back to their university (something like 33-37%). And yes, not all of that is going to the athletic program but they did just pay $700 mil for stadium upgrades and 20% of that was from “friends of the program.” EDIT: and none of that money came from the public. They REALLY care about athletics. They pack the arena for the wrestling team like it’s a white out.

Penn State also has a really good women's volleyball program.
